This is a getting a little ridiculous.
I currently have 'Pirate' status, so negative one mil naval karma which is whatever, I go to Kuit if I need to or just use meals for rations. Can't barter whatever. This is all fine.
But if I can't even turn in a quest to the NODE MANAGER that's dumb.

Serious answer. I doubt they change it anytime soon. Their knee jerk implemantation of Naval Fame has a lot of issues with it. Its one thing to have a somewhat immersive feel that bartering would be locked out cause respectable businessmen wouldn't want that risk but having a wharf manager not even talk to you....bah. As far as your problem goes, they really should have just locked out the Wharf option to Negative Famers. You will find you are in the same boat doing the Ody main quest line as well due to the wharf manager for Starry port being part of the chain.

Please explain your assumption that because I am negative naval karma automatically makes me a griefer?

Or do you assume every time someone runs through your rotation when you grind is also a griefer?

I probably will have to it appears because I just hit that part of the quest on my alt... and I can't go on as a result.

could do the quest in villa to get back to posative and it repeatable so keep doing to you get to the + side

First things first, getting Pk'ed in a game with open world PK, is not being griefed just because you didnt want to die.

That being said, you CAN grief with PK in an open world game that allows PK in hostile zones, just as a person can grief without PK in a game with, or without open world PK.

Griefing, and subjecting players to the games hardships are 2 different things.

Its quite difficult to grief with PK in this game..but with some exploits, it is possible. Achieving negative Karma is not a indication of griefing on its own. Nor does it mean that a player should be subject to the games bugs.

Roleplaying comes to mind for a reason to carry negative Karma, like what most here come to do.

Factions is an alien concept to some people apparently.
