In most cases, sellers resort to a trick: the day before the sale, prices are raised by 15%, and on the day of the sale, they are lowered by 10%. The buyer thinks that he saved, but in fact the seller earned even more.

Except it doesn't apply to BDO because it's either on a 50% sale or it's not. So far this year it's been on sale like every month but some people don't know.
Best advice is always wait before getting a collector's edition upgrade of anything. They tend to go on sale multiple times a year regardless of the game and usually whatever they give isn't going to be critical for your survival in the game, just glam type of things. Steam sale will be coming around soon, winter sale, christmas sale, new years sale, chinese new years sale, another steam sale, etc... There's always some sort of event happening every few weeks. Not all games participate in each of them but right now, the MMORPG market is competing fiercly with each other ever since the fall of WoW.
For new players here... You can get BDO for free and collector's edition upgrades for 50% off if you wait a couple of weeks. I don't know if it's still the case but if you get one character up to level 50 which takes literally an hour, you get to convert your trial to a full game for free. Also the premium/classic outfit boxes are kind of misleading. You don't get to pick and choose which outfit, it's a very specific one and you'll have to read the fine print on which one it is for your class.
