It's some sort of saber, she should wear it on the side instead of having it float behind her...
I wonder if this could get changed, if enough people agree?
Glad someone else mentioned this, I was about to make a post myself. The fact she wears it on her back looks dumb and is a little immersion breaking for me. It makes no sense to have it on her back, its a scimitar, a type of saber, its supposed to be worn at the side. She wears it at her side during all the promotional content too. Its already dumb that the warrior does does with his one handed sword, but this makes even less sense.
Probably because they recycled animations to rush her out the door.
Because it is too big to fit on her hip.
Considering the rendered animations have her draw from the hips...I don't think that is the case.

No, not really actually. I suggest you look up scimitars, they're are quite a few around the same size, they're large onehanded swords meant for slicing and chopping. They're not as nimble as something like a dueling saber or good ol one handed longsword, but make up for that with cutting capacity, think of it sort fo like an axe crossed with a sword.
I like it on her back

Does she not have the ability to resize the sword as she sees fit?

Kinky.
