For someone who is so adamant about the willingness to read youre quite eager to ignore part of what I was writing.

I was reading patchnotes. Time is limited so the natural thing to do is to be as efficient as possible. Never had an issue with that so far.
Additionally things had been done different for 5 years, there were failsafes before, no one could expect that it suddenly wasnt the case.
You still have not brought up a single viable argument or in fact even recognized the issue as to why the design is a mistake - or not.
You keep repeating your "reading, reading" yet again you fail to see the actual point of the whole topic. Questioning the design choice.
So tell me now, how exactly is it a good design that is so open to "user error" when all it takes for it to happen is to not read one sentence?
"I'm okay doing the skip. Would have gladly taken some more quests towards the 30k grind but w/e. It's still bad design though."
Keep in mind I'm completely fine skipping mq and would have likely made the same choice intentionally too.
I criticize the implementation because maybe next time it might have worse consequences for others or me.
when u skip it still gives u credit for all the quests... IE ur quest count still gets increased for the entire questline series up to and including mediah however many quests that is

We have never had this option before I don't se a point in having it now, beside the fact you can skip it it completely not need to be able to do so in the first place, not to mention the amount of quest rewards you miss, inventory slots silver ect. I would be 95% of the ppl that skipped did so unintentionally.
Are you kidding me?!? People have been asking for this for AGES. In fact they did not go far enough with it being ONLY for seasonal characters. And you still get the questline inventory and beginners blackstone. What you miss out on is quest counts and contribution...which people who have asked for this really does not care about.

Main point of contention: That the option was "opt out," as well as made unapparent to those that did not want to opt out. There was no diverging path warning, and the default choice made was one that SOME asked for and should have been reflected in the basic choice. "Read the patch notes" is a garbage response to a horrible rollout, people don't read the patch notes because they trust the devs not to do what they have done: make a big sweeping change, hide it and let us waste hours only to delete the character because SOME of the players want to skip the MQ. This screws over new players as much as old, and then the chat gets jammed and all that is said is "read the patch notes, lul."

I don't know why this an option. A lot of people in server chat are confused and are just deleting their season characters
Cause people, specialy veterans complained in the past that its boring to do the mainquest everytime...
But the Seasons are mainly for new players... And like 90% of the New Players who accidentaly skipped the Questline deleted their chars cause they dont know what to do. They don't know how to level fast, They don't have 600% and 300% and 200% Exp Scrolls or Prepared Nesser Gear and Odylitta Necklase...
They should disable the option to skip the Questline on Olvia and Season channels but allow it on Regional Channels.
If Veteran who knows what to do playing the season char on non season channel anyways they should skip the quest. (The Veterans play their Season char on non season channel anyways, cause they get boosted and/or know that NON Season channels aren't that crowded) - But the New Players, who just click the First Server on the List. Which is Olvia-Season Novice Channel. Shouldn't have the option to skip the Questline. Specialy cause they missing a lot of knowledge, Energy and Contribution Points with the Skipped Quest. And usualy new players like beeing hold by hand, and get told by the game "Move to X, Talk to Y...."
Even GM Lafi or how he was called, was memeing in the Olvia Channel yesterday "Your Questline is gone cause u spammed R-R-R-R-R"

No, the black spirit still gives them to you as you level up.
You lose arround 3 Inventory slots (Cause when doing the mainquest and specialy if u are an R-R-R-R spammer, you accidentaly accept side quest that take like 10 sec or is auto completed when talking, that give you a few inventory slots aswell) [For Example when Alustin send you to Eileen, Eileen has a quick Sidequest to kill like 1 Grass Beatle and reward is 1 Extra invslot - Quest take like 10 sec]

Iam LVL56 now and iam up to the point to exchange PEN Naru Gear with Fughar but the option to exchange them is gone. Do i have to level to 58 to finally progress for the season reward?
Per patch notes: - The last quest of the simplified questline, "[Season] Fughar's Memorandum - Chapter 11," will make the character have fulfilled the same prerequisites of a character who has completed the Mediah main questline and allow them to start the Valencia questline.
After completing the Mediah main questline or the Special Growth questline, season characters will be able to exchange PEN (V) Naru gear for PRI (I) Tuvala gear through Fughar.
And according to the ingame message the quest is bugged atm and i have to wait to get fixed, right?
No because chapter 10 is lvl your char til 58, and after that you can finish chapter 11 at Fughar and change

The point is that so manny ppl cry about the main quest line and say this is trash, no on of us postet the main story is nice, so if u dont say something life with that what u get its sad i had the same mistake ... Shorten quest line is ugly
