Imperial Crafting Deliveries as a Filthy Casual

Family Name: Blaqklight

Good evening, Adventurers! Ambassador Blaqklight back again with some Imperial Crafting Delivery Tips! Today we are going to discuss the easiest (and cheapest) way to maximize our passive income from turning in Guru Cooking Boxes through Imperial Delivery. Let’s dive right in!

Let’s talk about Imperial Crafting Deliveries as a Casual Life skiller.

So, you’ve gathered your materials, made your imperial crafting boxes, and you’re ready to turn in for the fattest profit of your life, but…you can’t deliver anymore? And you’re not making as much money as you possibly could? What’s going on here, I heard this was good money? Sounds like you need a little help.

If you’re like me and only life skill occasionally, you’re probably using imperial crafting delivery and turning in Guru Cooking or Guru Alchemy boxes for a little extra pocket change each day. It’s not comparable to grinding, but if you buy the boxes off the MP and just turn them in, it can bolster your daily profits by a considerable amount, depending on your mastery level in the life skill.

Cooking vs Alchemy:

Overall, if you’re doing this casually, I would say that the profit margins of cooking far outweigh that of Alchemy. Since leveling Alchemy is significantly harder than Cooking (only get exp for certain skilled tier recipes while Cooking gets it all the way up to Artisan) and more costly, the turn-in value of mastery for cooking boxes yields far higher margins.

To elaborate on this, Guru 1 gives a few mastery benefits. For just being Guru 1, you get 405 life skill mastery for that specific life skill. That goes for either Alchemy or Cooking, which SOUNDS balanced, but it is not. 405 Alchemy Mastery nets you a 6.57% Imperial Profit when turning in Guru boxes. Not bad, right? Well, let’s take a quick, comparative look at cooking.

At 405 Cooking Mastery, you get an Imperial Profit increase of 15.05% when turning in Guru boxes. This is an INSANE difference and only gets worse at higher tiers. We’ll talk about this again later.

Where to turn in my boxes?

Well, as you’ve probably noticed, first turn in for Imperial Delivery (which is at server reset each night) is absolutely crazy. Chances are things will sell out in seconds, leaving you with an inventory of heavy boxes and nowhere to sell them. Luckily this resets every four hours, but usually the next two turn-in times are also heavily contested. You might sell a few, you might not. The key to selling all of them on a comfortable schedule is picking the town that’s right for you!

My personal recommendation for this is, once you hit Guru 1 cooking on your casual life skill character, go to one of the far ends of the map for box turn-ins. I’d choose either Dreighan, Odylitta, or Valencia City as your designation since they’re far out of the way and therefore have less people competing at each reset. My favorite is Valencia, since I'm able to turn in  Before we turn our boxes in though, we want to get our mastery just a little bit higher. (Edit: Previously I had recommended Grana, but now it's quite packed and has become difficult to do turn-ins).

How do I get my mastery higher?

Your overall life skill mastery can be increased several ways:

  • Potions, elixirs, and food buffs
  • Tools, accessories, and clothes
  • And special alchemy stones

Now, since we are casual life skillers, we must think about what buffs/items are worth spending money on and what isn’t worth the investment. Since we gain a new % of profit for each 50 mastery bracket that we break, we want to maximize the gains while limiting the cost. We start with 405 by just being Guru, so from there…

  1. TET Loggia Accessories. Each of the Earrings is 32 mastery, the rings are 32 each as well, the belt is 40, and the necklace is 40. This comes in at an additional 208 mastery, putting us at 613 total. I chose Loggia at TET because each piece is right around 200m a pop, making a whole set of 6 about 1.2b. We can make this initial cost back quite quickly.
  2. TRI Manos Cook’s Clothes. This comes in at a whopping +220 mastery, putting us at 833 mastery total, and only costs us another 1b silver. Again, not too expensive, and provides huge gains. EDIT: For the price, TET Roroju Cook's Clothes are cheaper by about 300m and offer an additional +30 mastery over TRI Manos. Pick these up if you can.
  3. [Event] Stella’s Spirit Stone. This is a loyalty item that currently costs 2k loyalty and offers us a +100 mastery, which is MASSIVE. This is a limited time item and has 50 durability that cannot be repaired. Use this cautiously and make sure that you can turn in as many boxes in the 10m time.
  4. Oasis Seafood Cron Meal. Remember how I said every 50 mastery was a new bracket? Well, we last left off at 933 and since the meal provides +25 mastery, that would push us over 950 mastery for the turn in period.

Now, what does all of this mean? Lets talk numbers. At 950+ mastery, we would receive 61.47% profit on every box we turn in.

So, if the base delivery price is 320.000 for guru boxes x (2.50% + mastery bonus), then:

  • 405 mastery puts us at 320.000 (2.50+0.1798) = 857.536 per box
  • 950 mastery puts us at 320.000 (2.50+0.6147) = 996.704 per box

So, for me, at 996,704 per box with 178 available per day, I make 177,413,312 silvers per turn in. Again, this isnt pure profit since I buy my valencia meals off the MP, but its definitely a wonderful little extra bump in my daily silver making.

Closing thoughts:

Remember when I said Cooking > Alchemy? And that the disparity of Guru box turn-ins got worse as the mastery got higher? 950 Alchemy mastery only offers 16.07% increase in profit, compared to Cooking’s 61.47%. Not only is this insulting, it explains why there are always Alchemy boxes available during peak turn-in times.

Thanks for taking the time to read through this. If you have any questions or additional thoughts, please don't hesitate to let me know in the comments below. Happy Adventuring!

Changelog:
7/12/21: Edits: I'm bad at math, so I fixed it my profit margins  per @PrinzessLife's suggestion. Thank you for helping my smooth brain!

Also edited some wording and changed some formatting. Thanks for all the suggestions and feedback!

7/27/21: Edits: AncientWave (Obsidian) brought up some good points with locations of turn-ins and with clothing to wear as well, so I made updates to reflect those current changes.

Hey bud, this is a good start, I think a good addition would be to show people one of the more common boxes to make. Because some of the boxes can be rather complex to make, while others are easier by simply setting up a few resource nodes and gathering meat.

I have a question: today my toon delivered for cooking 20 boxes, before the quota for that server was depleted. Then I switched server and delivered the remaining 20 boxes on haduum server ... guess what? For a LOWER price?!?! So I am new to the game, but I would appreciate an explanation of why I did buy 1 bil clothes, to deliver for these 10k more ... and switching servers took it from me?? Is this a bug or intended? I don't get it?!

If you bought everything off MP and unfortunately your cost was greater than the gain you would have negative profits. Which is possible. Now if you're talking that it was lower just by switching server. PER box turn in then I have no idea🤷🏻‍♂️

Your maths is wrong !!

Base delivery price is 320.000 for guru boxes x (2.50% + mastery bonus)

So at 450 mastry you get  320.000 (2.50+0.1798) = 857.536

at  950 mastry you get  320.000 (2.50+0.6147) = 996.704

Casual lifeskillers should at least know WHAT to cook for boxes to get the money. Casual life skillers definitely aren't even guru yet.

At least make sure to add super easy recipes like Beer, Vingegar, Essence of Liquor / etc. as a way for people to get their exp up as they get on their way TO Guru

I was gonna point that out, and guys guru cooking is the easiest! dont listen to those "Casual" comments, to Guru 1 a week is more than enough.

Yes, this is a wonderful suggestion. I think I'll make a follow-up guide for this!

Yep. My brain is hella smooth sometimes. Thank you so much for helping me sort that out!

Guru cooking is not hard to get at all, actually. I went super hard with just every buff known and went from Skilled 1 -> Guru 1 in about 32 hours. Perhaps I should make a guide on that too, if people really think its that hard to get Guru 1.

As I stated above, getting to Guru is immensely easy and it sounds like people need some help with this. I'm more than happy to make a guide on it. I did Vinegar/Essence of Liquor until I could make date palm wine and then just did that all the way to Guru 1. Wasn't bad at all and didn't take that long either.
