In Succession Corsair has abilities that deal % based damage to Blocks and prevent Block Gauge recovery completely.  This mechanic in its current state is oppressive when directed at classes that 1. rely on forward guards to stay alive (e.g. dark knight, awk ninja) or 2. have a playstyle that holds Q block a large amount of time (e.g. Guardian, Succ Nova, Valk) or has skills that function off of Q block (e.g. valks dash).  This mechanic is fine in a 1 vs 1 situation as it currently is however much too strong in group situations.  The following is my suggestion for a change that would make these skills impactful while not crippling Corsairs kit or other classes.

Changes to Block Gauge % Based Damage:

Change % damage to block gauge on skills to wound max Block HP exactly how Black Spirit Skills function on normal HP in awakening.  Allow wound to heal over time just like BSR wound heals over time and perhaps also cap the wound to 80% of block HP.  This would allow classes to still function with 20% max block if they need to while weakening forward guards and Q blocks to the point where they can be broken very easily for most classes and relatively easily for classes like guardian or succ nova.

Block Gauge Recovery Prevention Mechanic:

If the block % based damage was changed to wound max Block Gauge HP this mechanic could be changed as follows.  Change gauge recovery prevention to prevent gauge wound recovery instead of preventing gauge recovery.  This would allow a Corsair to keep Max Block Gauges at a low set amount (e.g. 20%) and prevent the recovery of the wounded amount for a set amount of time.  This change would also let classes that need a block to continue functioning when hit with these skills.

Alternative change to recovery prevention mechanic:

Remove Block Gauge Recovery Prevention and instead allow certain Corsair Skills in Succession to ignore Block completely.  This would allow the Corsair class specifically to counter classes that rely on forward guards and Q blocks while not being oppressive to the point where it makes other classes unplayable due to debuffs.

Disclaimer- I am aware Corsair is relatively underpowered without the block mechanics it possesses.  However, we have yet to see awakening and 8 skills in the succession kit (2 awakening skills and choice of 6 different rebams).  I am also aware that this is week one and changes will be made to the class over the next few weeks.

If anyone has other suggestions or comments please share!

Yeah, puting 15s stops into a "fast action combat" game is really 200iq idea, maybe next class includes forced global cooldown aswell :))))

They really didn't think this through.  If its okay to disable a core mechanic of multiple classes, to the point where they can't even do basic things like movement (valk shield chase) and multiple other skills...then where's the skill that disables iframes?  If its legitimately okay to leave forward guard classes helpless...then its okay to do the same to iframe classes?  This is going to be one of those things where they eventually realize it was a really bad idea and end up nerfing it into the garbage later on...without compensating for removing a core mechanic of corsair.  Just like they did with lingering super armor for valk and high innate dr for guardian. Just like they are doing for aoe slows.  Just like they had to do for protected area.

As a valk i am fine with the mechanic in itself.

It's the duration of 15 sec that would be turn down to 5-7 sec.

after that, personally, I can live with it.

Yeah it should be 5s duration and it's fine.

imo 5 s duration and block gauge recovery capped at 20-25% and it's much more balanced and fair.

Yeah the fact that it literally makes valk skills unusable is beyond stupid. Not to mention that outside 1v1 at equal gear levels block is almost worthless, why would you take a protection that is barely relevant and make it even more worthless?

Yeah block is fine. Block + SA what is broken, and instead of adding new fancy anti-block features just for the shake of new stuff, it could be easily fixed by just removing the SA from that.
