In my opinion BDO has one of the worst gear treadmill out of the MMOs I've played. Greens outdated, Blues Outdated, Yellow soon to be completely outdated. Are you following me. Look at the cost jump at each point. Just look at the cost difference between Yellow and Red gear. The only different from other MMOs and BDO is the fact that other MMOs the gear treadmill is about 30 to 90 days of time. Where in BDO you are looking at 180 to 1800 days and or spending $50,000 to $250,000 USD to bridge such a gap playing legally. All the while you have those would a much further ahead of you doing all they can to sabatage your progression. To the point asking Devs to allow them to do it at no cost to themselves.

Correct. This game gives you no progress at some point, moreover, if you fail to upgrade end game item, you lose all your earnings for a month, half a year or a year.

And ... you don't have ANY option for slower but guaranteed enchant! Nope, zero, nada. 0,3% - 3% chance, fail, and you just lost 30b - for me this is one year.

Sword of Legends Online starts friday, no enhancing rng, no pay to win cash shop.

I'm in the same boat as you  1x 323 FS, 5 x 250ish, and several stacks above 100 enhancing main-hand Blackstar. I have to say though, I have come to the conclusion and gathered a plan of not playing the game actively with just grinding up toons to 61 for the adventuring skill payouts while I work on Guru levels. I won't do anything that requires a severe amount of calories in the game until I pen all my Blackstar gear. If they ever release a Dwarf class I will keep him at level 49, transfer all my gear and skills and play him exclusively in lower level areas until I start getting better RNG.  I figure I will be doing this even while playing Ashes of Creation when it comes out.

I've gotten to the point I'm not too pressed about anything in BDO because after that last Ball I got a funny feeling a lot of stuff is about to 360.

So quick comparison:

Black Desert: forced toxic pvp, p2w in every aspect, rng enhancing epic fail system, no fast travel system, channels change cd.

New World: pvp only on request, no p2w (for now), no enhancing system (progress from natural drop / craft), fast travel system, as I know you can't change channel (because of nation you join / nation war / nation balance).

Lost Ark: pvp only on request (several modes, in ranked mode each players has same stats/gear so zero p2w), p2w as p2progress (daily and weekly limits), similar cancer enhancing system as BDO but ... you only lose mats for each tray and each tray give you higher and higher chance for success, fast travel system, channels change - idk probably without any limits.

Sword of Legends: pvp - idk because I'm not interested this game, no p2w (for now), enhancing system idk, fast travel - idk.

Also: Elyon, Bless Unleashed, ODIN: Valhalla Rising and much more.

Conlusion: last BDO player can turn off the lights and close the door if Pearl Abyss doesn't listen to the players.

As I wrote many times, BDO has only 1% of regular players - those who have been playing since the premiere and only those will stay here, all the rest have not achieved anything and will never achieve anything, nor will they ever catch up with those who play since the premiere without changes in the game (cancer enhancing system).

I failed to get TET on my red nose armour 5 times in a row with 100 fail stcks and now my Red Nose armour is broken.

Enchanting is easily the worst part of this game.

You should thank PA, that they did not let you waste 100fs on that trash.
