He also shit talked bdo while literately everyone memed on the game aswell in the chat a few days ago when someone asked why he not plays bdo. Pretty clearly shows what the general gamers thinks from bdo kek.
Also I would be surprised if New world would not be a massive failure lmao
Honestly I think if he tried tbe new season system and saw that there is now some garenteed upgrade paths he might have a different take on the game. However it being pay2 win yes it is and will always be. But if you play at your own pace it doesn't matter there's fun to be had here.
He enjoyed lost ark he might find some things to like in bdo

Asmon used to play bdo a lot, the reason why he stoped (acording to him) is item destroy on fail. In LA you not lose your progress on fail, as there is neither downgrade nor item destroy.
Tho the main reason why he played LA is shilling money from Amazon, and he ain't play it much nowdays. I don't think he cared much more than making content (read streamer money) for LA. The only game that he regularly plays just for "fun" on stream is wow. Every other game is pretty much just streamer content.

I still personally hate the accessories going boom when they fail but I understand why it's there Economy
As as why gear downgrades though I will never agree with. Because it's not economy. Your gear will lose dura your still going to have to buy or run relics for mem frags to repair. Oh wait I know why it's there to make whales buy costumes for cross so it doesn't downgrade......

I been naging for years and I mean years how bad it is it allot of F2P games and their cash shop heck I nagged how worse it would get before BDO or New world even existed. But no one cared but low and behold comes this assclown that spend most of hes time only playing wow and pretends hes and expert on other mmo that he maybe tried or not even that. ANnd suddenly people start to listen ..... I warned people years ago and it now people start to notcie. And it will be worse I mean take Aion 2 or Blade and souls 2 being made as phone games becuse that´s where all the money is thanks to microstransaction and gacha and so on.
BDO may be pay to skipp but I take that over Gacha or Pay to get engery so you can play at all. And yes a few things are pay to win and that´s been a problem people ignored for years or bitched about it but keept playing.

Yeah P2W not started today, but only (mostly eastern) noname cash grab games used it so noone cared. Anyone remember alloads? The world recorder P2W game? me neither.
Well bdo is also kinda noname so...
