Just when I thought they they couldn't possibly make the UI anymore bloated and ugly....

fck fs numbers. they are meaningless it's a yes/no system anyway. they need to revamp it from the ground up. also, did they really acknoledge that its a shit system? 

The problem is the soft cap they put on fail stacks that prevent it from being an acceptable mercy system. Lost ark did a much better job of this so even though I might start with a 3% chance to succeed if I get really unlucky I will with 100% certainty reach a point I will have a 100% success rate after I fail x number of times. It's why bdo system is missing along with removing the downgrades which are the real anti fun aspect of bdo enhancing. Sadly this is how they make most of their money so it's not going to change.

I know many people in my guild and my friend list that will be trying New World again. Most of my gripes with that game are gone or fixed. The combat is still a bit on the simplistic side however.

But I'm already on the way to my BDO goal as well. I'm someone who has quit this game many times out of pure frustration with the RNG. BDO is making strides to be a better game its garenteed PEN system was a nice addition and  for the first time ever I hit 280 AP kutum which a year ago would've never been possible without saving up buckets of silver or getting rng carried on an enhancement. That being said I know why they are giving pen out now so cheap thier moving on to the next stage of thier game. Where we all have to enhance the next level of gear that's even got harder and harder success rate. .........

The enhancement system and gear system as a whole needs a complete overhaul.

But the thing that sticks with me always when I play BDO is how long will I last . I'm going to hit a gear where it takes months to a year to go any farther and that's just no reasonable. Worse being while dungeons are being added and I do still want to Try them most of this games " content" that is worth doing is killing things in a circle getting better gear just go kill those same things faster.

Some people might be ok with a constant circle grind but I can at most do the daily hour before I want to stop. Seeing some streamers grinding 8 hours per day in the same circle I just can't understand it. It's mind numbing to do : shrug

Honestly, this is how I remember all Eastern games being. BDO is no different. Always revolved around enhancing your gear and getting you to a point where all there is to do is grind/enhance and hope for the best. 

Not saying it's good or bad, just how it's been. I feel like PA wants the game to grow but at this point I am not sure if they know how or are taking baby steps to change the mold so old veterans don't get insanely upset at new changes. I personally can't do much of the grind anymore unless I just want to zone out. But most of the "fun" content takes gear, that's the progression in the game basically which is ruled by RNG.

Remember back in the day when the RNG was even worse and people thought it was because you rolled an "unlucky character" when you first started the game? Yeah those were the days, little did we know we were all unlucky. The game really takes a lot of time, which is a valuable asset now a days. It's in PA's hand to make the game worth our while and only them can see the metrics on what is happening.

Exactly. Even when I had near a 300 FS i found it absolutely useless. Still kept failing nonstop on literally anything and everything. Its just useless. Super expensive to build it. eventually i just gave up and threw it into a TRI-GOD tap after too many accessories blowing up. Even then took like 10 fails.

Failstack for pen items have no value until like ur around 1000 failstack. that gives u about 30 percent chance.
