This is also another reason why I can't see this game lasting very long. It full of people like this that refuse to even listen to others have to say, but decided the best cources of action is to just insult insult insult more than spew more insults as if it a form of discussions something this user I'm quoting sums up most of BDO's current playerbase in a nut shell. An the fact is this user just broke half of the TOS on these forums but watch how little PA will care they won't delete his post let alone ban him for doing it. Because after all when you report ingame death threats the developers response is "We encourage an competitive PVP mind set for our game. An therefore see nothing wrong with the messages this user posted ingame." That is PA response to ingame death threats that how little they actually care.

There is plenty of constructive discussion going on on this forum with people listening to each other.

Just don't expect to produce dramatic nonsense such as "game will die next year" and be taken seriously: as I stated your kind of topic is recurring since 2016 yet BDO is far from dying for people who are able to get some perspective instead of short-sighted people like you who only know one little part of the game and ignore all the rest.

Your OP is just BS assuming that most players stay on BDO because of nodewars. But your covering ears lalala is quite convenient in order to dodge the points I made that refute your nonsense.

Then you talk about not constructive discussion ROFL, just look at the mirror.

Anyway we got doomsayers like you since 2016 and so far 100% of them were wrong despite being like trust me BDO will die because or x or y.

"Game will die next <inser timestamp>" we heard this narrative regularly since late 2016.

You're a meme at this point, I hope you're aware of this.

This game has been dead for years, the numbers don't lie:

Yes steam players are not all players but steam stats show us players fluctuation: cron stones and p2w starts, new class addition, covid pandemic start, etc.

Covid is "the best". As you can see the game lost all players interested in it during this period.

If we compare how many people played from premiere and how many plays now we see that ... the same or even less.

Yes: no new players. We had several events "play and keep game for free" but that didn't change anything.

Even 95% new player quit bdo in the first or second month.

After transfer my guild drop from extra large to ... small. I checked guild ranking and what I saw? All guilds lost players, one less but most guilds lost many players.

Even shakatu twitch stream event show us very small game playerbase. I watched the first day because it was the best for it: only 22k players same time. But remember: this event it's for all regions. Yes not all players care twitch events but only 22k players for all regions? It's low, very low.

Game wil not die on base Korean market but in Europe/US - this game is basically non-existent.

Funny fact: Europa and US players paying more then Korean players but PA don't care us and our opinions.

Kakao did a good job of evacuating the sinking ship.

Even I playing bdo while waiting for the New World premiere to get rid of bdo toxicity.

Yes, sure, eg. Cabal Online exists 15 years, but can we say he's alive? Absolutely not.

Bad pvp (in particular toxic griefing open forced pvp) and aggressive p2w can kill any good game. And I just see it in bdo: more and more worse decisions, no listening to players opinions (even very good changes changed to p2w elements), fewer and fewer players "recompensated" with more and more aggressive p2w.

Lot people not actually reading in here not surprised after all guess just repost the main points again maybe you'll actually read it. Doubtful though I mean I did say above that this community full of people that don't actually listen to others but think spewing insults is the way to go. Even quoted and example too. Like said watch that user that broke half the TOS on these forums not have his posted deleted by an admin let alone banned from the forums.

Simply put this game PVP is dying fast because it ruled mostly by 5 classes witch, wizard, Ninja, guardian, and valk. 2 of these five classes are completely OP in ways that make zero sense with having the highest DPS in the game, the most and biggest AOE skills, the most protected skills in the game, the strongest utility in the game, the most CCs that are also completely protected, and if you play succ versions of them they have some of the best most protected movement in the game. The only counter to these 2 OP classes that we all know to be witch, and wizard is and equally broken mechanic called grab which the only counter to grab is stacking grapple resistance and praying to RNG that you resist the grab.

What left when the PVP scene completely dies is PVE but with Crimson Desert coming out this year which will be similar to BDO in design (sense it made by the same company) most of the people that enjoy BDO's PVE will flock over to that game than anyone who remains cause they feel invested will slowly trickly over to crimson dersert do too a dropping # in players on BDO.

Simply put if PA doesn't nerf the two OP classes in this game this year this game will die. But sense PA response on balancing this game in 2018 when they were laughed out of E-sports for think BDO was a balanced game was "We are aware that BDO isn't a balanced game and that some classes preform far better than others on multiple levels and in more scenarios. However, we have no interest at this time in balancing the game cause we are currently hard at work developing future content." (AKA making new classes to promote inventory slot sales and other character bound only items.) An that has been their stance on balancing this game since 2018 to now I can't see them fixing the issues pledging the PVP community anytime this year.

So when Crimson Desert comes out with a better more refined and improved PVE systems to BDO's I can't see this game surviving this year unless they some how completely fuck up Crimson Desert and it dead on arrival. But, hey maybe their plan is to kill BDO to make room for Crimson Desert, tbh I wouldn't be surprised sales for BDO cash shop have greatly decreased sense whales are now sitting at full PEN with nothing else to upgrade.

According to the same source and according to your own fantasy interpretation of said source, Elder Scrolls Online and Final Fantasy XIV are dead games.

Besides, please don't use your own anecdotical experience as if they were a general fact. Case in point my own XL guild became after transfer ... the same XL guild with 8 less members meaning 90 of my members transferred their account. Yet you don't see me using this as a fact claiming BDO overall lost no players due to transfer.

Good thing only an absolute minority engages in any kind of competitive PvP, hell, the day this game's PvP officially fails; we'll lose a good chunk of the abnoxious chat PvPers, while the rest of us will keep on keeping on, wouldnt mind that.

But you know PA activitly advertises this game as a PVP focued game and calls it a PVP focued game. So you know good flawed mind set telling PA to ignore their target audience. I mean ever wonder why in the 5 years this game has been a thing PA has left the PVE mob grind 1000% brain dead, unenjoyable, and have never expanded on it? Or why they refuse to add instance dungeons, PVE only servers, or a way to disable PVP complete? Cause that goes against how they market this game.

See this just another example of what I mean when I say people activitly don't listen to others and have completely one sided bias opinions. This user basically saying anyone that cares about PVP in this game is and idiot and should quit. What flawed shallow logic here.

I swear PVE only players are a pladge that infect PVP focued games and just want to ruin them cause they fail to see other's opinions on PVP. And they just want to covert PVP games into PVE only games. Than they wonder why these games suddenly have identity crisis and die.

If PA ever actually expanded on PVE grinding and made it challenging you clowns would instantly realize just how broken and unbalance some classes are and literally be asking for class balance as well. But, no sense PVE grinding is so brain dead and requires zero skill you don't see how unbalance this game is.

It would be also nice if we could lose people who project their own idiocy into believeing Pearl Abyss will alienate a customer base that took half a decade to build by making a new game that will compete with BDO.
