Elder Scrolls Online and Final Fantasy XIV are dead games.
And they are dead.
Final Fantasy XIV? What is it anyway? I don't know anybody who plays it.
ESO? Game died when they added "non-mandatory" subscription.

Then according to your logic most of the MMO industry is dead since the majority of websites agree that ESO and FFXIV belong to the top 5 most played MMOs on the planet, if not top 3 right after WoW.
Another plausible theory is that you're simply clueless. But hey you could easily refute it by mentionning any MMO more popular than ESO and FFXIV.
Aren't we all lucky then that BDO is not a PVP game.
Simply put this game PVP is dying fast because it ruled mostly by 5 classes witch, wizard, Ninja, guardian, and valk.
Stopped reading after this.
But yea wizard succession is op, nerf it
At least 99% of the playerbase doesn't care about PvP - BDO won't die just because PvP sucks. Most people play this game as a single player with the added illusion of playing a MMO - that's the kinda niche game BDO is anyway.

The meta always exist. It's not a meta that kill a game. if that would be the case even league of legend is dead too...
I am a pvp boys and I havebarely any problem with the current situation.
Wiz suc are definitely strong. But not at a level where it is not possible to overcome.
Concerning the Wizard *problem* in my opinion.

Where is my response in this post.
Short summary. Wizard and Witch don't follow the design rules that apply to all other Succession.
This allows him to have an advantage of optimal choice. While no other Succession has this advantageous choice.
Universal Balance is a Myth that never existed. It's a fantasy, a belief that have zero foundation in the real matter.
Each class has an identity. This identity will always offer him a severe advantage in a given role and situation.
All is about Meta Shifting. Nothing else, competitive players are always competitive and always play with the most efficient tools.
No one won a war with a spoon. Unless the devs decide to put a nuclear warhead on the spoon.
Your OP is just BS assuming that most players stay on BDO because of nodewars. But your covering ears lalala is quite convenient in order to dodge the points I made that refute your nonsense.
Then you talk about not constructive discussion ROFL, just look at the mirror.
Anyway we got doomsayers like you since 2016 and so far 100% of them were wrong despite being like trust me BDO will die because or x or y.
While I don't understand how people can play BDO for it large scale PvP. Because it's large scale PvP is pretty bad compared to other MMO's large scale PvP.
I personally don't see BDO dying and shuting downn anytime soon. Just look at even worst MMOs like TERA or Blade and Soul. If those MMOs can stay alive after losing most of their playerbase except the whale population. Then I see no reason why BDO wouldn't be able to do the same.
I give OP's post a 2 out of 10 because threads like these offers no decent discussion.
This game has been dead for years, the numbers don't lie:
Yes steam players are not all players but steam stats show us players fluctuation: cron stones and p2w starts, new class addition, covid pandemic start, etc.
Covid is "the best". As you can see the game lost all players interested in it during this period.
If we compare how many people played from premiere and how many plays now we see that ... the same or even less.
Yes: no new players. We had several events "play and keep game for free" but that didn't change anything.
Even 95% new player quit bdo in the first or second month.
After transfer my guild drop from extra large to ... small. I checked guild ranking and what I saw? All guilds lost players, one less but most guilds lost many players.
Even shakatu twitch stream event show us very small game playerbase. I watched the first day because it was the best for it: only 22k players same time. But remember: this event it's for all regions. Yes not all players care twitch events but only 22k players for all regions? It's low, very low.
Game wil not die on base Korean market but in Europe/US - this game is basically non-existent.
Funny fact: Europa and US players paying more then Korean players but PA don't care us and our opinions.
Kakao did a good job of evacuating the sinking ship.
Even I playing bdo while waiting for the New World premiere to get rid of bdo toxicity.
Yes, sure, eg. Cabal Online exists 15 years, but can we say he's alive? Absolutely not.
Bad pvp (in particular toxic griefing open forced pvp) and aggressive p2w can kill any good game. And I just see it in bdo: more and more worse decisions, no listening to players opinions (even very good changes changed to p2w elements), fewer and fewer players "recompensated" with more and more aggressive p2w.
im trying to look for the "dead" Part in the chart but i cant find it.
Also who cares about Bdo on steam lmao?
ded game confirmed
