I am still somewhat new to Black Desert.  I am enjoying the game, it has a lot of aspects I have sought in other online MMORPGs.  Tonight I was at the Terrmian Nights event, I noticed the game allows player killers to execute the guests.  I am not new to the concept of "real world" activity and was wondering how the 3 AFK players fishing in that tiny lagoon will feel when they return to their dead bodies.   I took note there are a multitude of unprotected spots and not just along the beach.

While I have not been attacked at the party, so far, I don't think I would plan to stay there AFK fishing anytime soon.  I started playing this game in March, I didn't get very active with my characters until April.  I was fully informed by both the game and players, at level 49, I would become a target when I leveled up to 50.  I don't do a lot of AFK travel but it seems to be when I get attacked and killed the most.  Otherwise when I am active and get attacked, I have always managed to escape.  Player killers are not my thing, but they are an interesting element of this game.  They keep me on my toes.

However I wouldn't invite a bunch of mass murders to a swanky beach party.

Terramin beach is a safe zone, people are not going to be able to go around killing everyone fishing.  The 2-3 guys fishing on the beach not in the safe zone are probably still level 49, I know my fishing alt is level 49 and thus immune to PvP stopping my fishing.

I think you may have misunderstood.  The dead players were fishing in that tiny lagoon within the "safe zone". They were not on the beach or fringe area. I have no idea what level they were, but I would assume above level 50 or greater to have died from the direct attack.  As soon as the attack started, I got out of there fast.  I notice running up to the market area my message flashed "You have entered a Safe Area".

All I am stating, from what I witnessed,  I would think  the area of this event would be safe in total and not just in parts.

It's normal and it's allowed: its part of the "Open PvP World"

While I think griefers are lame cause they never want a fair fight and instead just piss you off, it's part of the game.

But I agree, the area where we can fish Koi and be in safe zone should be expanded and consistent instead of put in patches.

I am definately going to be more alert while at the event.  When the frigate started shelling the festival, I jumped on my discord and asked my friend (who is a PK), "Are you shelling the party!?".  It wasn't him as it turns out, but I wouldn't have been surprised either.  I would appreciate it if other PKs would retain some decorum and just leave people to their fun and AFK fishing.

Have fun everyone!
