NO
it is not an obligation to have the infinite potion
You can use normal potion
the infinite potion is a comfort compared to an already existing potion
it's a treasure the rarest item in the game and you want to get it via a quest? lol?
you want to have the deboreka pen via a quest too?
have you thought about Lara?
assisted players ..
Some players have a chance only with the rare loot
others have a chance only with PEN enhancement
If you give a quest that guarantee all the rare loot for the seconds one
then you have to give a quest that guarantee all the PEN for the first ones
Nobody is even talking about enhancement or about making it easy just making it a guarantee to work towards, even if its a grindy one, which you would know if you read the entire post but you very obviously didn't.
I question that PA would do this, because they seem to think that somehow having something require really good luck to get makes it more of an achievement when you get it, but I really like the idea of stuff like this simply requiring a bunch of effort rather than luck - and your suggestion doesn't fundamentally change how you get it. It just provides a safeguard for if you have really bad luck. So, it seems like a good solution to me, but I'd be surprised if PA did something like this unless the KR folks were complaining big time.
Sounds good to me. I'm sure there's been many loyal (paying) players that quit this game because of these "treasures".
Anyone that disagrees with this needs to reevaluated their life because they think they have clout from some virtual item in an MMO that honestly no one cares about or ever will care about outside a person that wants it. They don't think you're special for having it, they're just jealous you have it when they want it, most people have no idea how to get it and what level of dedication it takes to get so again, they don't care. I can almost guarnatee with 100% certainty anyone outside the game just think's you're insane for spending so much time to gain a virtual item in a game.
This proposed change will still demand dedication. 600,000 mobs is not a walk in the park and would still require a huge amount of effort but it would provide a light at the end of the tunnel for the majority of players that aren't insane.
Someone mentioned cash shop earlier, sure. Throw it on the cash shop for $50, I'm all for it.
I like the concept of this but i'd make it a little different. Don't base it around averages base it around worst case scenarios. I say this as a guy who has never grinded for a potion piece and has no interest to. I grind all the time but I do so for silver and just use normal NPC-bought potions.
A quest for 1 million monster kills of the right area (kagtum, sherekhan, whatever) = 1 of that particular potion piece
Barely anyone actually grinds 1 million kagtums before they get the piece. Actually I'd be surprised if anyone has confirmed 1 million Kagtum killls and still no kagtunak piece. It's a very high number.
The quest therefore would NOT be an assistance to getting the piece. It would only be a last resort failsafe -- a "light at the end of the tunnel" as you describe it OP. The quest would be to ensure you aren't stuck doing the potion for a ltieral eternity. It would be the weakest bad-luck protection safeguard you could have - just barely enough to convince someone that you will get it if you don't give up.
But maybe no one would actually complate the quest. It would just be there for the psychology oif "No matter how unlucky I am, it is still possible."

There is tho a guaranteed pen
Caphras a tet or cm. That is guaranteed
Solution:
Put potion pices into the convenience shop for 10k pearl each. It's called convenience shop for a reason, we need more convenience.
do whatever u want, i have both pots, I have it idc
ceo on the heidel/calpheon talk firmly said no multiple times already on this sort of request, yet so many idiots kept asking.
also infinite potion should literally be the last item a player should go for since it only benefits pretty much nothing, it outweighs the amount of normal potions you would carry per grind, and it takes a lot of time to acquire, the amount of time you save would literally mean you have to play the game for years and pvp most of the time to get all the value from it

Couple things;
1- So i'm an idiot because i was unaware that this has already been addressed by J ? I checked the forums , nothing about the infinite pots except people asking for them to be allowed in family inventory.
2- You are proving my point, it's not an OP treasure if it's not that much of an upgrade
3- I don't think people should go for it last when it's such a banal yet convenient item
4- Again, not asking for a free handout, just the usual big grind but towards a goal
