First I'd like to say thank you for working on these pretty big updates every week now, it seems that you're finally realizing the effects on what happens when you only release bare minimum updates for years. With so many people migrating over to another certain MMO, your recourse is of course to work hard with many udpates and giving away freebies which is great! Please don't mistaken what I'm saying for passive agressiveness, it's not my intention, in fact this is exciting because it's what competition does to games and businesses in general. It forces developers to work harder and innovate and in the end we'll be getting a better BDO experience.

I'm certain that you guys read our suggestions and feedback but we have no idea that you do because there's never any confirmation that anyone does read them. I noticed that there are suggestions and bugs that get included in the game patches weekly and whether it is coincidence or not, we as a community don't really know. This is the main point of this post...

What we want as a community is be more of a community. We like how GMs take the time to stream the game on Twitch, or occasionally take part of in-game events. This is how MMOs used to be and it is a rarity these days. It's one of the charms of BDO even if it happens only seldomly. But we don't really get good feedback from your teams. There's very minimal communication between Pearl Abyss and the community and we don't know what we should be expecting from week to week. Are our voices being heard? Are you reading through the many threads of people complaining and praising certain aspects of the game? What are the discussions like? We want to know. Communication with us makes us feel important and it makes us feel like you listen and care about both your community and the game.

I would like you to take a moment and look at your competition and what they are doing well and poorly in these regards. Please turn your attention to Yoshi P from FF14 and see how he communicates and hosts events for players. It's grand, it's amazing, and the communication they have with their newsletters and fan festivals are pretty expansive. There's also communication in-between these as well.

BDO has a lot of great things to offer, and it keeps getting better -- sometimes worse but usually better. While your latest initiatives to improve the game are commendable, we would love an initiative to engage with the community more. Please let us know how you treat our feedback, please be active in the forums or involve yourselves more with us somehow. I'm sure the community has many ideas on what can be done and I'm sure the people at PA can easily come up with a thousand ideas as well.

What does Pearl Abyss think about building a stronger community and improving communication? Does it sound like a reasonable idea? I hope you will consider this. Thank you for your time.

Regardless just cause they would put some people to dance like they would care not going to change anything. And it's not like if the EU guys would have the tools to do meaningfull changes. It's all up to KR what will happen to the game, and as you can see from the last letter, they are rather strong in chasing their "vision" even if it leads to a wall...

Surely they could put a clown in charge like how kakao did, who would reply some random stuff to the bug reports/feedback that never was fovarded to PA. There are players that would feel better for the empty worlds, that's true, but fundamentally that not gonna fix the core issues.

Communications? NA/EU don't have access to global lab saying everything you need to know. Using 3^rd side platforms to communicate with community full on randoms you can’t be sure even play game? Their own forum is desert with bunch of private and unlinked accounts posting complete nonsense w/o any CM/GM posting anything on it.

All communication from NA/EU is streams to attract more players who fall for “watch X hours for basically nothing” to maintain numbers.

I agree.  I remember in Kakao Forums, GM's would write sometimes.  Sometimes, they'd chime in to confirm things, for example.  Seeing a GM comment in the Forum was a special time, indeed.  Can't remember seeing a GM write here.  Ambassadors do, but it'd be nice to see someone on PA's payroll to chime in from time to time too.

Not likely to happen in a game where the Devs and a decent portion of the playerbase are at odds with each other. At this point I'm pretty sure they are hoping BDO dies. So they can resell digital progression for 100s of millions of USD/EUR. In a more than likely copy pasta called Crimson Desert Online.

I believe you're projecting your own hope that BDO dies and are spreading misinformation and rumors in order to justify it.

You do know that CD,will be supposedly a single player right ?

That's not true. CD will be just as singleplayer as bdo is.

It's a singleplayers game with multiplayer elements, which means:

-it will be same as bdo currently is

-PA don't even have clue what game they develop and what the word "singleplayer" means.

But don't worry, CD mostlikely axed completely.
