Since this is a feedback section, I'm going to give mine. The change coming next week isn't overly fair for those that buy costumes with silver.

I'm only doing the math on this for cron stones because, lets face it, that's the main reason people buy costumes off the market.

Current system: Players spend 335 million silver for a costume that gives 330 cron stones. This is a 1.5% loss of silver.

New system: Players spend 470 million silver for a costume that gives 420 cron stones. This is an 11.9% loss of silver.

If you compare current to next week, we're looking at a 27.3% increase of cron stones(330 to 420) for a 40.3% increase in price(335 to 470).

This is a blow to those that buy costumes for crons. You're losing out on 11.9% cron stones starting next week when buying from the market, and the increase in silver price doesn't match that of cron stones gained like in past silver price increases. Granted, yes, that was Kakao, but PA hasn't changed the silver to cron ratio since then; until now.

Its a bit unfair to those that spend the time playing the game to buy from the whales. 11.9% loss in silver, over say 10 costumes, adds up to a lot of missed cron stones. That's a loss of 559 crons. If they kept it the same as previous, the 1.5% loss of silver, the cron amount we get SHOULD be 463 crons(rounded up from 462.95). Silver cost is either too high or crons gained are too low in comparison to all other past increases.

The whole "feature" where f2p players depend on costume pre-orders as our "best" way to get Cron Stones is nonsense.

I'm too new of a player to know how this disgusting system even came to be and complaining won't make it go away cause they know this is how players get crons. They even have sales with over 5 premium outfit boxes (Which I'm sure you don't need me to remind you they can only give you 1 type of costume per class. So certainly it's not for the fashion itself. Is it?)

The stupid banners in the pearl shop updates show the crons over anything else in whatever bs pack they put in promo. It's just revolting.

I am not asking for cron handouts. But melting costumes should not be every single player's GO TO for crons. You shouldn't have to learn how to play the Market with your SINGLE PREORDER AT A TIME to obtain a DESCENT amount of one of the most important items in game. This should only be a resource if you are uber rich and want your crons FAST FAST FAST.

But we are all too deep into this mess to find a way to fix it or remediate it.

My only thought is.. remove the option to melt for crons from all costumes EXCEPT those in the Premium Box. So all the players who would want crons just pre-order that box. And raise the price of all other costumes. So paying players can decide if they want to buy items and fulfill an item that will always have pre-orders. (Specially with these pearl shop bundles) or make a little more silver by selling regular costumes to people who actually want their fashions.

But this would probably break a few heads, the economy, the game, the atmosphere and the planet will explode.

You think they care about what us f2p think with a change like this OP? Sadly, I doubt it.

My reply to this is that you should just stop supporting pay to win and pearl abyss greedy monetisation by never purchasing ANY pearl item from the central market. Vote with your real life wallet and your in game silver.

The way it came to be was Kakao promised we wouldn't get P2W in the game, and then PA pushed it into NA/EU, but to a lesser degree than KR. Kakao made promises they couldn't keep. The game used to be a $30 box price while F2P in KR, but look at how cheap its been recently.

I personally rely on a website that keeps track of pearl stuff uploaded and then play the market/make decisions from there. I agree that this shouldn't be the way, but a lot of this takes away from the point of my original post. We live in the way PA has created the game, but they are, as of next week, making it worse for people that play the game f2p. They are devaluing our time spent in the game to sell more costumes.

As for the premium costumes part, yeah that wouldn't be bad but it wouldn't fix the problem. You would just have more costumes of certain types being purchased, especially considering next weeks patch boosting the price. Whales will still just sell costumes. It would help to get certain costumes off the market, but it wouldn't fix the over all problem.

I know they don't care though. It's obvious, but I'm more or less putting this out there for those that don't know how much they're actually losing out on if they spend silver on costumes for crons. We're not gonna get them to remove the change that creates a fuck ton of money for them, but if they're not going to fix it, we should at least point out the problems in the changes they're making and call them out on it. If we can't remove P2W, we should at least point out how bad it is imo.

One, two, three, 10 or more people doing this isn't going to stop it. The player base as a whole would be needed to do that and lets be honest here, that isn't going to happen. It would take a lot of broken stuff in the game for that to happen and currently there's not a lot.

In the last 2 hours of me posting this reply, 236 premium costumes have sold. 802,400 pearls spent on bdo. 79 billion silver has been given to the whales. That's just two hours. While I agree that people should definitely not be paying them, the current player base isn't going to listen. The current player base only stands up against p2w when the game is broken in really horrible and obvious ways. The last real stand up against PA's p2w decisions was when they we're bringing cron stones to costumes, and clearly that worked. :/

The most fair option ever since this fiasco was allowed to happen is to just implament a straight up pearl to silver exchange like in neverwinter.

I think allowing us to grind up a currancy to purchase pearl items or give us daily pearls outside of the premium value packs would be better honestly. Both this and your option wont ever happen though. :/

Kakao lost more then 50% of its playerbase when they let this happen. They are no longer publishing the game.

PA didnt learn. This was never really well recieved.

The games population has never recovered, nor will it as long as this "system" is in place. Its too late to change it without a hard gear progression reset. So the best solution to the madness is just open the flood gates, and allow players to directly sell pearl to players through an exchange.

Solves all the progression problems of any P2W game.
