So i just read about the changes and i think this change is.... well...

it's the best possible option they could implement without changing its core function.

the Ghillie to me was never about being hard to see but about anonimity.. removing the name.
we were always visible on the minimap anyways, and, for people like me, we always keep an eye on that radar anyways. 
the change now only allows people with sucky reaction time to not QQ anymore about  "i cant see cus no name".
they can see a placeholder name now with <Unknown Adventurer". they can see us (ghillie users) and we stay anonymous. 

How do you guys feel about it?

I think its awesome i never wasted my money on one, this sale was tempting. Had i caved and bought it, id be pissed. Its junk now. Dk with the suit is a game changer, watching the mini map will get u killed during combat especially if ur not paying attention to my finner details.

The whole point was to get u to watch the mini map and not pay attention.

The ghillie has been a huge advantage for pvp. there is no if or buts about it. trying to kill a priority target in a small scale gvg is hard enough, and is disgusting difficult in big gvgs, doubly so if the class has invisible frames like sage, sorc, dk. This change is a good change to the grand scheme of the game. Also makes the game less p2w, if thats what you care about.

do you guys not have eyes?

I like the new change tho, having a custom nameplate is pretty awesome, bought both desert and grass camo a long time ago, never ended up using the desert one but I like the looks of the grass one, probably my favourite outfit to wear other than the fish costume

Removes the P2W feature of the costume which makes it just another costume. I like the changes they are pushing out.

The overwhelming mayority of the players bought it for the advantage.

But yes simply replacing the name is a fine fix, tho players only requesting it like what? 3-4 years?

One would have to be blind to not see the obvious unfair pvp advantage the costume used to provide to certain classes.

I never had any issue ever fighting against ghillies. hell, i had mine even full pink so people could not complain. but people just are generaly slow with reaction. also keeping an eye on the radar every 5-10 seconds isnt that much extra attention. and if ur anyways in battle and someone goes invis or V's you keep an eye on it anyways to see where that person pops up. 

BUT!!!! my whole reason why i bought that ghillie was anonimity. having my name out. 
with this change it still does that, so i think is the best possible outcome.

but its very sad that it took them 6 years to come up with it.

This is an excellent change. Maintains anonymity while providing other users with visibility. It was never intended to hide the player in a pack of mobs. This is a very welcome change, especially for world PvP. In small scale PvP, identifying priority targets, it still allows you to reasonably blend in with your team without making you impossible to track in a pack of players.
