Install the Black Desert Launcher if the game doesn't start.

1) ARMOR - 

 

So it's been a long time since the best-in-slot game for boss items has been mixed up. The constant argument of damage reduction vs evasion is getting super old now. What is lacking in this area is a supply of alternative armor options. Don't you think its time for PA to release more boss-level options for our builds?

 

We need more types of boss armor.

How about a Vell Chest, with a focus on stamina or something?

How about a Muraka Gloves, with enhanced innate grapple damage or something?

How about a Queen Stone-back crab Helmet, with an extra guard gauge or something?

How about a Ronin Shoes, with x2 evade action range or something?

How about a Hexe Marie's hat with reduced MP cost or something?

How about a Giant Mudster shoes with enhanced slow resist or something?

How about a Lava Chief Gloves that increase the potency of DOT's or something?

How about a Moghulis Chest that increases armor degradation or something?

 

2) Weapons - 

 

Weapons ironically fall into the same category here but with the caveat of the Blackstar being introduced as alt for optimal PVE. The cycle here is that both are stuck in a ying-yang back and forth. Weapons discussion is only about Kutum vs Nouver offhands.   

 

How about a Agrakhan off-hand that increases BSR gain / increase BSR damage or something?

How about a Narc Brishka main hand that reduces all skill cooldowns by 10% or something?

How about a Ancient Puturum awakening weapon that increases enemy resource drain by 10% or something?

How about a Skeleton King off-hand that increases life leech or something?

 

3) Crystals - 

 

Crystals as a concept are ruined by the ying-yang of two extremes; you either go full resistance for PVP reasons or you rot in obscurity. Crystals are more flexible as an addition to combat styles, but there are still not enough options here to make this system exciting. 

 

How about a Black Shadow Essence to grant a 3rd crystal slot to any boss item?

I would rather stick to only a few, it's easier to balance, the more vectors you add the worse it becomes.  We already have crystals drastically altering fights, no need to make gear do the same thing.

But you see...

 

This reveals a fatal flaw in the design of the combat system. Only two dominant factors in gameplay is AP and DP. 

 

On the expanded stats sheet (which is worthless btw) we have all these damage types and resistance types, but they are irrelevant. 

 

Many of the features are irrelevant.
