Oh you think I was mean and toxic well if you see it like that do so but to me is getting annoying that people feel the need to comeback and complaine how much they dislike the game and that they are leaving again or not coming back becuse the game suck and is clearly not a game for them.
Instead of just say fuck it this game is not for me I rather go play a game I enjoy but no they have to tell every one hey im not coming back or Im leaving becuse the game is not wa sI want it to be.
Pearly abyss clearly don´t give 2 cents what people think as long as they get money and when that dry up axe the game and move on to the next game to milk.
So I will say wasting your time on a game that the preason clearly don´t enjoy and then return just to complain about it just seams counterproductive and a bit stupid. Just admit it the game sucks and pearly abyss don´t care enugh to change it move on find a mmo you enjoy instead of trying to seek akwnolagment from others on a forum.

Im not dfending BDO and I know BDO is not perfect but I enjoy it in small doeses for me this is Harvet moon the mmo and after 17 years of pvp in eve online it´s nice to just jump in do some casual shit and avoid the big wars and drama eve offers on a daylie bases so when I want to get away from that I don´t need more drama or bitching or buhu it´s not what I wanted.
When I don´t like I game I don´t go to others and bitch about it I quit playing telling no one and then go play a game I enjoy instead of wasting my time telling random people about it.

bdo is a sandbox, that's like saying, apple is better than orange but both are fruits, don't eat oranges and expect it to taste like apples.
In bdo there is no hitting level/gear x and do y, the entire game lets you do y the moment you get in the game, even without a cash shop the game was designed that you will never beat those that grind 20 hours a day, it's just how it's designed.
Sandbox = No quests, open world, construction/building heavy, player tools, usually no levels and skill-based. Content is player driven.
Themepark =Quests, instance and raid zones, players guided from one area to another dependant upon level. Content is server driven.
It isn't that the game is bad, it's that people expect it to play it like WOW and surprised that it is nothing like WOW

The last part of your comment invalidates the first.
BDO have quests, you not construct/build anything, player tools??? they ban people for using "tools", there are levels, and dfq is skill-based? you use skills in every mmo lol...
Also content isn't player driven, PA decides what to add, when to add, and their indeeded way of playing, and that the "content" is, it's shallow, but it wasn't the players who created those Elvira zones...
Neverthless what you write here ain't the definition of sandbox anyway.

No it really is that this game is bad. Cause the game's entire design revolves around the cash shop. The cash shop doesn't revolve around the game. That in it nature is why this game is so grind, why the grind is as brain numbing as it can possibly be, why PA chooses to make new class an sell character bound only items instead of rework an try balance existing one. Simple put every game mechanics an design is make to work with the cash shop or even some other source of making money tha PA owns. Cough internet cafas cough afk life skilling that can't be done with the game closed. To it nature that results in this game being designed in a way that isn't fun. If you took away BDO's action combat an PVP this game would have never lasted half a year let alone 5.
P.S BDO content is definitely not player driven I played eve online for 11 years that is a game with player driven content. BDO's content is cash shop driven.

you are looking at it from a theme park perspective, of course, everything doesn't make any sense.
BDO does have quests, but it's not like theme parks where it leads you to achieve the final goal, there is a 30k quest title that give you 300 stacks, but all you would be doing is questing, or you can do something else like sailing or farming, gathering trees, etc.
you can build forts and place structures like cannons and place down farms, future updates also includes able to build your own town.
content is player-driven, PA decides what to add but not everybody does that content, think of it as someone give you a bucket of sand and what you do with it is what this game is all about.
the whole game is what you make it out to be, there is no end game, if you set unrealistic goals because that's how theme parks trained your brain, then this game isn't for you.
and no, the game doesn't revolve around the cash shop, you can be 100% free to play (now that the game is free to get for another week) and still hit full pen if that's your gear goal or achieve guru 50 in lifeskills without ever touch the cash shop. ALSO, just because you can, doesn't mean you will, the game's fundamentally designed so that it never ends, the end is supposed to be unrealistic. Look at it this way, even if there is no cash shop, you still not gonna "beat" the most geared players, that's just how it's designed.

I'm not going to white Knight the game as a long time player of BDO we have all had rant sessions on the forums.
While I do think the thread should have been sand papered out before he/she posted it. It's still informative to learn and know why a person quits BDO, (Still metrics).
I do agree about the enhancing and PvP system still needing work but again in comparison to when I started this game things are 500 times easier to get and achieve now with all of the feed back changes they made. You don't like BDO? Come back in a year or two, maybe they will introduce something you will love.

Theme Park MMORPGs are very designed experiences, where there is content designed to be consumed.
Sandbox MMORPGs are generally a bunch of features that are thrown to the players to peruse and create content for each other with (usually through conflict).
In short: In Theme Parks, the dungeons, bosses battlegrounds and raids are the content, in Sandboxes, other players are the content.
Bdo is a great game, but it's not for everyone. Some of us enjoy it immensely despite its shortcomings. We hope it improves to cater to more people out there over time. If you are dissatisfied, you can find something better out there for you.
