Even with lifeskill exp + 50% and "increased" hard and sharp drop rate, gathering is still dead. PA seriously need to revamp gathering. It's too Time Consuming and mind numbing. Trying to make use of 500 energy is like going to Church 5 times....

This is a korean grinder, it's main focus always will be smashing mindless mobs. (They said druing ball that they do not plan on changing the core game play.)
Also lifeskilling isn't popular in KR and NA. Yeah in EU there is loot of lifeskillers.
They could do changes, like increasing the market caps as they are way too low on most maaterials. That would also buff gathering.
I don't understand why players compare silver outputs from lifeskilling and grinding.
I don't understand why players believe that lifeskilling should scale the same as grinding.
As a lifeskiller: To fulfill high masteries a player in game needs 1 slot for body, 1 slot for tool, 1 slot for cheap alchemy stone, 6 slot accessories.
As a mob grinder: To fulfill high ap requirement/efficiency (for most classes) a player in game needs 4 slot armor sets, 3 slot for weapons, 1 Alchemy Stone (more likely Vell's Concentrated), 6 slot accessories. 14 crystals required more likely B.I.S.
Why would any game developer prioritize lifeskilling component when they can make more with the mob grinder element of the game?
Its quite sad how obviously they dont like the Life skills:
We are recieving Loot scrolls almost every day, I personaly goat maybe 500+ if I put them all to 1 char, whyle something similar for life skills?
+20% Life Exp and +100 Mastery scroll we barely see from events, Atendace or with lucky rolls from BS Adventure.
Exp scrolls for Combat and skills, so many types, we are recieving so often and moast of them stacks with each other, Combat far over 1000%, skill maybe 700+%, and Life? 2 similar scrolls for +50% which cannot be stacked.
Exp events, Combat exp from event up to 1000%, Skill exp not so great, but sometimes NPC with buff +300%
And Life skills? +50%... Huh, thats all? And not even for all, Trading is excluded. :(
Im trying to lvl up Goathering during this event and must say its quite a pain watching how slow it goes up during this event and with plenty of other buffs, including Guild buffs.
Lifeskillers can make all their high end gear-manos clothing/tools/blackstar armor/weapons
Clue folks: lifeskillers need armor & weapons too for examples fighting turos- blood/heart (potions), boss mudster (stone for potion), protty cave/sycria underwater -abyssel essence (draught), a slew of different mobs for a wide variety of crystals (alchemy), world bosses (crafting high level mount gear) and getting all those green weapons dropped by mobs to melt down for traces/metal/metal crystals, a whole slew of mob drops used for crafting items and lets not forget building ships means tackling some sea monsters shall we..and there is more.
Grinders for their high end gear, have to hope the boss/mobs drops favor them, grind enough silver to buy their gear/draughts/mounts, or get lucky with some chests/events or save up enough seals.
Grinders need all the scroll/exp help they can get for their activity...its limited to what gear they can get.
I say all this because i do both activities -combat & lifeskilling.

Killing mobs for meat, harvesting plants, underwater gathering (pick any one of these)- 616 gone
Trading-checking prices/bartering-616 gone.
What you see is my major lifeskill character just cooking afk getting energy back-and making imperial boxes -cooking/alchemy-186 boxes daily. 186 x 500,000 (master imperial boxes only) = 93,000,000 silver.
Without a Karmasyla Blessing, I need to do afk activity to gain energy back, drink potions-or put the character on a bed.
For me the afk is cooking/alchemy/fishing.
The other four characters are gaining back energy too, from activities that i listed and do note I didn't list "making extra energy potions from Alustin".
My combat character goes out and fights mobs just for silver/drops for high level combat gear while my other characters gain back energy.
I find combat grind very tedious and boring. I don't even grind in a circle rotation, i just do 2000 of every mob in a region just to get some variety in. (limited by gear, I can't do solo -olem golems, abyssel scyria, ash forest, elveria orcs/bloody monstery).

how exactly is gathering dead? it being dead would mean there is not a single player game wide that does it....... i do it almost daily... 500 energy at agris steppe gathering wolves is like hour to hour and a half depending on how hard i go on trying to min max it i usualy catch up on youtube vids of channels i subscribe to while i do so.
i know prob like 20 players on NA alone that gather daily and some that do it couple times a week... heck if u go to agris steppe or bher or pilgrims haven u will usualy see players there gathering reguarly which clearly shows its not dead... just that YOU dont like it and because YOU dont like it you think its bad content and isnt worth it... i guess since i think grinding is boring and not worth my time that means its dead by your logic yes?
