It makes no sense for the sea current system, stop adding mechanics in the game that makes a player's experience miserable, time to start fire people that come up with these sort of ideas.

1. It can't be countered by toggling like the sail, this is especially troublesome at monster areas where the monsters aren't even affected by the sea current.

2. sea current slows down the boat way too much, a 600 wind can't counter a 30 sea current??? 50 sea current completely stops a boat from moving unless using the breezy sail skill making some areas miserable to sail around.

Yea, the currents are awful. We should be able to turn our sails also so we can catch winds regardless of direction.

Try sailing from Arahaza town up to the river mouth by Hakoven Island  there is a constant  i think it is a +40 current you have to fight your way through. Was not a fun ride at all.

I agree the current system slows the boat down way too much. 

with how dead ocean contents are, along with older content, I wouldn't expect anything to change for a LONG time, we still got bugs from 2016 that haven't gotten fixed, "PLEASE TRY AGAIN", stuck on trying to get on the wheel, etc

the devs haven't even bothered to address lifeskill related content on the talk show

this was an old topic but I have to log in to make a statement about this fucking stupid "current mechanism". I lured the monster too far so they just swam away from me when I got stuck by the fuckin current. That's so stupid and I want to give up the game.

Chill out lol.   Sea current will be gone in about a week and a half.  It just went into global labs last week.

I don't have any anger issues but you could just imagine I used Epheria Caravel & had turned the ship 20+ times to shoot the monster, I had also noticed that I went too far but can't do anything against the sea current T__T. OMG! just happy to know that they will remove the sea current soon.
 

Well, i dont see any changes, only UI mising, Curents is still in game like before. PPl like me plying BDO becaus sea content. Still w8ting too see some changes on sea content, but notting changed yet . And Barter items that 15 mil are still not worted. If you do them u loosing money. Better go for T5 7,5mil you do 15 mil more when you chek parley consumation of each(or they have to make less parley consumed on margoria money or jsut removet it from the game). Dunno who is that idea but is misscalculated.

Ya they definetely didn't remove currents.  What a joke.  When you have the sail rolled up, therefor no impact from wind, you should not be hitting fast/slow spots.
