Sort of stuck on this one.   I am pushing it to the far back of my "must do" list.  I know I need this to complete awakening and obtain the harpoon gun weapon.  But this has gotten pretty rediculous, when I am sawed off from my storage inventory back on the mainland.   If I call a storage fairy way out here, I don't get Velia or Oliva.  There are items I would like to obtain from the storage, and there really appears to be no option to return to shore.  I mean there is a Wharf here but I would have to move a boat, sail to port, get all the items and return again by boat.  Had this quest not teleported me, I might have been better prepared?

This is just a "heads up" for those who are reading this and haven't done the corsair awakening yet.    I did wizard, sorceress, mystic, and ranger and they are very much the same with 3 trials of various combat and you claim your weapon, followed by a boss battle.  I was a little surprised there was 20 quests leading up to this point, but several are dialogue, most will just skip about and miss some interesting tidbits, and one is a boss fight with your double.  I think the silver sink quest Clumbsy Matao was pretty lame, at that point I am thinking, I must have begged the Black Spirit to erase my memory to forget my miserable crew.  While you are in Altinova you will get the quest Den Invasion.  I strongly recommend you be well prepared to do multiple boss battles prior to being teleported.  If you fail, the quest must be dropped, reset, and do it again.   Failure is not just death... my issue is if the "bad guy" gets too far from you, this somehow counts as failure, and because we are fighting on a broom closet sized island, it is too easy to get too far away.  I can't help it, I like to dodge blows.

This quest is something maybe a beefy mermaid can handle, I found just a bit tiresome after the 3rd or 4th reset.  About that reset, do you think 4 steps to reset is complex enough? Maybe they should have added more to it than getting another shovel and digging another hole?  I know I can get this done, but I feel I was denied critical need to know information.

Have fun!

Edit: I was able to retrieve Perfume of Courage from my Central Market.  Then when the giant catfish (3rd boss) appears dodge using the sandbar running between the two land masses.  The last boss has the ability to knock you down and keep you down, I would recommend something that prevents or reduces knockdown.  I still feel this to be very sad in the presentation; no warning about being teleported, completely cut off from supplies other than the CM, and lengthy reset.  I am happy NOT to do that one again.
