Good good.
I hope my 5000% level of sarcasm got across here.
I hate to see systems in BDO that are ignored and forgotten... Like alchemy stones, or the node investment systems, or worker production systems or town workshops, or trading...
I hope that after this class reboot is over, the PA devs work on taking the old irrelevant systems and make them good again. Especially the things that were made in the 2015-2017 period that were never touched again.

Totally agree. PA added grindspots where you can farm 400+m/h but different methods of earning silver remained the same...
Really, you think grinding isnt competetive? Go to orcs or SE, see how "not competetive" it is.
It definitely is free money. The amount of time and effort you put into making the meals compared to the money you get out of it makes it almsot free compared to grinding mobs. I have guru cooking myself, I know how it is. I have no problems turning in my meals most days of the week because I know when the reset is and take steps to be ready. In the event I cant, I go to other cities. I have never had a day where I was not able to turn in my boxes. You are jsut lazy.
Yeah when they said competitive they meant money wise. Guru 39 cook here and the money I make grinding far outpaces what I can make from cooking. You need to farm and/or gather and/or milk. Don't forget your processing. Then do the actual cooking. Then box all the boxes. Then turn them in. For the amount of time it takes to go through all that and then have a daily cap you can certainly make decent consistent silver but it's far from anything special. I can pull 240m/hr at trees, or I can make 500-700k profit per box for 208 boxes or 145m roughly at highish end. I spend far more than an hour gathering, farming, milking, processing etc to make that high end too so the silver per hour is pretty crap for the effort once you're no longer a broke new player looking to gear up.
I'm happy you never have a problem turning in your boxes. I find it to be a complete pain. People have work. People have kids. People got other things to do than camp an NPC hoping to actually turn in boxes that already have a daily limit on them to begin with. It limits which towns you can live in, it limits what times you can do other things, it is not fun and doesn't seem to have any real purpose other than frustration. Why should I spend an hour going server to server and town to town on top of all the previously mentioned effort? What is the value add of making sure people are there for turn in at exactly the 3 hour marks to be able to do it? I stopped making guru boxes because the payout for the additional time and effort was so low, and then add in being extra hard to turn them in and it's just not worth it. A large part of why I like this game and especially why I like lifeskilling was because it was something I could progress without having to have fully active play but the way turn ins is set up is really contrary to that. If you work when most other player work you gotta try to turn in when most other players are trying to turn in and if you can't then you just don't get to and all your effort was for nothing. That or you spend all your game time just trying to turn in and pile up frustration. Most of us don't game to get frustrated...

Brilliant analysis of the frustrations that is rife in this game, not just in imperial turn ins.
