Hey guys,

I have spent days, weeks and months trying to figure out why I get relatively low FPS in BDO compared to my computer specs, as I see many other people with less computer specs getting 180-200+ FPS.  I have followed all the guides online I can find including ShakyBays & FakeUniforms, and every other written and youtube guide I can find.  I have done Nvidia Control panel settings, Nvidia Profile Inspector, Lasso as well as all the in game settings.

Intel i9-10900k overclocked to 5.0ghz

EVGA 3080 RTX FTW3 Ultra GPU

32 GB G-Skill Ripjaws DDR4 3200 RAM memory (31.9 available)

Acer Predator 27" 240hz monitor 1080p (plays BDO on)

BenQ 27" 100hz monitor 1080p.  Both monitors are connected by DisplayPort connections.

Gsync Disabled/Vsync Disabled, Nvidia Panel settings all to "max performance" "uncapped frame rates" etc. etc.

Hyperthreading Disabled for BDO via Lasso

GameBar, DVR and Windows recording all disabled

BDO is installed on a SSD

In Remastered/High I get 90-140 FPS in a idle non-combat situation.

In Lowest/Optimal I get 140-150 FPS in an idle non-combat situation.

Fullscreen vs. Windowed Fullscreen does not change the FPS.

My CPU chills at about 45% utilization when playing on Remastered/High, my GPU chills at about 60% utilization while playing on Remastered/High.

I'm not streaming, rendering video of space or mining bitcoin.  Just booting up my computer and playing the game, this is my FPS.  My only hope is that someone out here has experienced the same thing and has found a solution.  Any help, suggestions or theories would be much appreciated!  Thanks guys.

Do you have low power option disabled in the game? And also enable "performance optimization" in the same menu as the low power option

Where are you during these "Idle non-combat situations" ? If it's in town that'd be normal.

Yes, low power option is disabled and performance optimization is enabled.

Essentially anywhere (not just Heidel or Velia, crowded places) but everywhere.

80-110, about 100 average.  That's not really my point though.  I shouldn't be getting this low FPS with the specs that I have, I shoudn't be seeing little difference between Lowest/Optimal and Remastered, and I shouldn't be seeing my CPU and GPU utilizing only 40-50% to provide this mediocre performance.

How many cores is the game set to use

:o With my 9700k and RTX 3070 @ 1080p on remastered I idle at like 140fps in Heidel and when riding outside I'm  190-225 FPS

Depending on Area I grind at  130-160
