Basically my experience since PA took over self publishing BDO, I've had unstable after patch experiences with the game crashing at the start screen (it goes blank then disappears).
I have put tickets in but received no response apart from the standard "dear adventurer, we have received your ticket" response. So I stopped playing. 
Today, I thought I'd download the game again and see if anything has changed. In preparing, I've made sure my drivers are up-to-date and C++ redistributables are downloaded and installed from source (Microsoft). 
FWIW, I don't have these issues with ANY of my other MMO's/games.

Was very pleasantly surprised this afternoon. After the downloaded, game started up beautifully! Cheers all.
