Hello everyone,

I'd like to communicate again how important I think already announced pvp content expansions are, in my opinion. As far as I know, there are ranked 1v1-3v3 and 10v10 pvp/pvx arenas/mods planned for the hopefully near future. I know the devs are pretty busy already giving their best to fix the already released content, providing more great quality of life changes as well as class balancing.

But, I'd like to put the focus again for new content on pvp, which is tremendously important for this game and its playerbase in my opinion. So for new content, I would absolutely suggest bringing the already several times announced pvp arenas, hopefully for 1v1,2v2,3v3 maybe 5v5 and 10v10.

The battle arenas are FULL, there is a clear need for ppl to have options to face each other in 1v1,2v2,3v3 or even more. People are not only in battle arena to test some skills or learn new combos. Entire guilds are are having 2v2,3v3... matches in the battle arena as well as in arena of arsha just to have fun and to compete each other.

The playerbase needs the option to face each other in a ranked arena for 1v1 up to at least 3v3 urgently. This content would be, besides to open world pvp, a great opportunity to join and leave some pvp at any time, without any preparations or waiting for node war schedule.

But to make this successfull, so that many players will participate, this kind of pvp arena needs some specific aspects to make it work. These are my personal suggestions to how such pvp arena could look like:

- use arena of arha or add some other maps to aoa so that there are some variations to the environment to play around with

- must be an instanced area for the people actually fighting, so ppl wouldnt render too many objects around, regarding other players fighting for example

- make sure, Alchemy stones CAN be used, as well as food (and maybe villa buffs), so people can hit their atk speed, crit levels (elixiers, draughts, whale potions and tendons i would restrict from usage)

- design a ranking list with a point reward system for loses/wins, there are several systems out there with a good working ranking design to use

- make sure, the algorithm is not completely random, there needs to be some kind of elo matchmaking system so people who are low ranked dont face high ranked people

- daily and weekly quests for participation with decent rewards for a certain number of wins/payed games

- ranking needs to be reset every 2-3 months with rewarding people based on their actual final ranks (decent rewards, please)

- there is not need to make 200+ m/h on silver with this kind of content but, there should be some kind of compensation profit from ~80-100 million silver per hour so people dont feel like they are wasting their time compared to making money/gear progress at grind spots

- using personal gear/trial gear is a point of discussion, to make sure as many people as possible can participate, it would be smart to let ppl use equal gear like trial character gear, but i see the problem that some players would rather use a tanky build, or human dmg build or whatever...gard to decide

- make sure ranked systm cannot be abused by kill trading

- design some kind of queue which can be entered from battle arena for example, so ppl waiting for finding a match, can wait in battle arena (waiting area)

This post became way longer than I expected in the first place. Also these are just some personal thoughts and suggestions how it "could" look like. But I hope the importance of this aspect is clear.

pathetic, even with the reward leechers, this low the interest for the bdo PvP

People was clearly eager to watch the "skillfull" one button win matches.

Surely if they add ranked arenas (they are working on it) that won't be DOA content within a month or two, surely...

why would i care about pvp content if I cant partake in it myself due to shit class (awe witch), bad gear (643k) and dsync.

I understand that class and gear is on my end, but game ain't fun like this, why do I have to play meta class and grind hundreds of hours just to have some relatively fair pvp??? I log in lol or csgo or any real pvp game and I have pvp right from the start.

Who says you have to play a meta class? There are currently class reboots being planned, so you should hope that most classes are getting fixed.

If you think such content will be DOA...they shouldnt bring ANY new content...if you decline anything new before it was even released.

If you watch battle arenas, completely full, I could definetely think that this kind of ranked pvp would have some good participation, if designed well and not a complete waste of time money wise.

Also, if there is 1v1,2v2,3v3 and some 10v10 there should be some options where witch isnt gargabe. And if not, its not making things worse...but it could make a lot things better for many manym other players.

Well what we se from the reworks so far already shows problems. Neverthless I doubt it will end up being ballanced. Mostlikely the meta will change, but there will be still trash tier classes, and the class reworks not gonna include fix to the technical issues.

Whether the arenas will be DOA or not purelly deepens on how much rewards it will have.

But if it will be profitable to run it, then it will be full of:

-hackers

-bots

-pillot serivces

-wintrading

And since PA don't want to deal with that mostlikely it won't going to have meaningfull rewards.

Also they are focusing on 10v10 mode(currently), which clearly shows their lack of understanding what players want, heck what their game even can provide.

Getting up a such team isn't easy in the first place, and even if you manage to get one up, how likely that there is a another one joined in to fight? hint: low, and even if you get one, and beat it like 3 times in a row, how likely you feel they keep going to get facerolled?

BDO's active palyer population is already too low, the PvP players is even less, and with such low player base you can't make a working MMR, so matches will be just gettign the first team as enemy, which will be everything but ballanced fight...

An 1v1 arena mode will be ok, since there are lot of players who like dueling and they can atleast use that instead of BA. Whether it will be an improvement is a another story.

Well about 10v10 mode idk, i was focusing 1v1,2v2,3v3 here mostly. I just mentioned 10v10 because they are already announced it a few times. I agree about the 10v10 issues which might appear, but ye...I'd rather have the 1v1,2v2,3v3 and some rbf changes in best case. I dont think there must be some huge profit, since rbf is okish occupied with players even though its complete trash...so I think with a decent design a just 50-100m per hour, ppl will participate in 1v1,2v2,3v3 ranked.

So far, every single "rework" has horribly broken the game, with just a few classes being happy coz being ridiculously OP.

Even single class releases still break the game and cause frustrations up to quitting the game. Look at awa sage and awa nova currently ... this is the best they can do after many months. A fkn tank/shield/vaccuum class that zooms over the place like a speedhacker and kills C20 gear in a single second.

And you expect it to be better if they do ALL classes at once? HAHAHA that's some proper optimism here.

I watched the tuvala thing and found it hilarious how even the casters had desyncs.
