Agreed, after 5 minutes of looking at this, i couldnt do it anymore, the blurriness is just too much, let us at least run this mode with AA turned off PLEASE!
The ghosting, or motion blur as my guildmate calls it is something that should be an option we can toggle as well.,

I also gree it would be nice to be able to run this in settings lower than remastered, even with this new setting not everyone can run remastered, or some of us choose not to (personally sometimes the bloom on remastered just gets too much for me and i knock back down to highest).
On that note, i would also love to see a few more options on the graphics for adjustments, like a bloom slider, would help with performance as well

I literately not saw anything xd, so blury on performance option.

It's fine on ultra quality.

The FPS improvement of FSR is pretty impressive. Like in other games you shouldnt run the lowest option. The source resolution is just too low. The picture quality doesn't change much as long as you run high-quality or quality mode.

Performance wise i get a huge improvement on 1440p:

high-quality ~50% more FPS combarable to very high on not remastered (but with about 10% less watts on my gpu)

quality ~90% more FPS comparable to something between low and mid settings

balanced is CPU limited for me on a ryzen 5900x

Here comes the catch. The ghosting in bdo with active TAA is veeeeeeeeeeeeery strong.

As soon as you move a single step you will see how blurry everything gets. The effect is there even without FSR.

So please optimize the TAA implementation. Even if it takes a little more performance, its a trade off which will be simply handled with FSR.

Why AMD FSR does not work with FXAA ?

Thank you! i thought i was the only one who felt this away after i read so many posts about how amazing remastered look with Anti-Aliasing on. I dont care what anyone says, always turn off "V-sync, Depth of Field, Motion Blur and Anti-Aliasing". From the time ive been playing video games (pc, consoles, handheld, etc..)....these options have always been the four hoursemen of the apocalypse for lower frame rates and a blurry look that makes you feel like you're trying to view and play any game underwater. out of the four, V-sync you have to be a lil careful with, because on very old games it actually can help keep framerates stable, because the increase rates in certain older games will make the game feel like its being played on super speed as you are getting way too much fps. I do applaud the developers for their hard work on making remastered mode more accessible on lower and higher cards, but if there was a way to remove Anti-Aliasing, while keeping the increased frame-rate, that would really make remastered mode much more appealing.

I always have V-sync on in my games because

1.) I do not need more FPS my Monitor can't display anyway

2.) If you try to display more FPS your monitor can't handle the picture will "break" while turning the camera, as you monitor could not finish displaying the whole picture and already has to start with the next frame.

Depht-of-Field is different from game to game, sometimes it makes the graphics look way more realistic. But not always.

Motion Blur I too have off always, true.

And not all Anti Aliasing Implementations are bad. But TAA implementation in BDO is very bad sadly, even worse then in Red Dead Redemption 2. But there are games out there where TAA looks great, or there are other AA implementations (e.g. Wolfenstein Youngblood) which are far superior. Or there are other games where they use MSAA for example, which can look very good, but tanks performance like hell. So its a game-to-game decision too.

AMD FidelityFX in BDO is a great feature and nets you loads of FPS even in Super High Quality Mode, but like I said the TAA implementation is the crux here.

what if i tell there is way to use fidelity but turn off TAA. do step by step.

Why on Earth would it be locked to TAA only? I rather do Virtual Super Resolution with no Anti-Aliasing. It just looks so much better having to not depend on AA. I wanted FSR so badly to come to BDO, but what a disappointment.

well ran the AMD FidelityFX on Ultra Quality for 1 hour made everything look cold and drab and the sight distance did not improve still all the hole in the mountains and green poping in at the last min

Hmm I don't think it was Pearl Abyss's idea to add the AMD FSR to make the game look better as that's not what AMD FSR does in many games... It was created for Node Wars and Siege to give better performance and frame rate with the best possible graphics for Mass PvP and many people on the screen like Boss fights.

If that's true, then they messed up big time. Low FPS at siege and bosses isn't caused by lack of GPU power, but because of poor optimisation of game engine. FSR won't help one bit with those FPS problems.

I just assumed they implemented that feature for users who want to play BDO at Remastered on 144Hz monitors, since even the newest GPUs strugle with those settings and 144fps.
