Use the Ultra Quality Setting, you will still get an FPS boost with the minimal to no motion blur.

Just gonna put this out there but the motion blur(ghosting I like to call it, cloning I've heard some of my guildies call it) is not tied to FSR. FSR just downscales the resolution and upscales it to the selected resolution before the user interface in introduced, which is why you get FPS boosts.  The blur/ghosting/cloning/etc thing is a TAA problem. It's been this way since they introduced it, but it was much worse on initial release of it.  You can run FSR with FXAA, as stated before, and you can see this is how TAA works.

This is a screenshot that shows the blur with FSR and TAA on:

You can see the movement, slightly when zoomed in, but its still there. The actual motion blur going on there, but its a little hard to tell. I used this NPC near Velia to test it since he's waving around his weapon a lot. Its more noticible during character movement, watching AFK horse trainers and combat. The following is a screenshot with FSR but FXAA is on instead of TAA. You remove the motion blur by doing this, but you loose the soft edges that TAA brings as well. FXAA doesn't fully remove the harsh edges of stuff like blades of grass or fences, but its also a lot better than not having anything on. Turning FXAA and TAA off just.. There's honestly no winning choice here..

Both screenshots are at high textures, remastered graphics and have FSR Ultra Quality running, the only change is the first has TAA and the second has FXAA. The problem is TAA related and always has been. It's probably not overly noticible on higher resolutions BUT it is a problem. This is just a small example, that hopefully shows the problem people are having. I'm gonna add two more screenshots, one showing off the blur with TAA but no FSR and the other a full screenshot with FSR and FXAA:

TAA On, FSR Off:

FSR On, FXAA On:

Hopefully these images upload, the last one you will need to open in another tab probably - unless the forums allow you to expand it. I'll add links if they don't upload correctly.

The point I'm trying to make here is that people are complaining about FSR having motion blur, and while a valid complaint, its only valid because the game forces you to use TAA unless you trick the settings into using FXAA. That said, FXAA looks like hot garbage when compared to any game ever; including TAA + FSR in BDO. If they removed the blurring that TAA brought - which it clearly does bring as seen above - then it would be perfectly fine to run I feel. I actively chose not to use remastered before the FSR change, even though I could, not because of FPS/Performance drops but because of how bad TAA and FXAA looked on it. I originally thought that TAA bluring was because of my FPS not being 100+, but after sitting in the desert after Nouver on Wednesday after patch, with FSR+TAA on and hitting 150 fps AND still seeing the blurring effect on my alt's movement.. I think this needs to be addressed.

To further add: This isn't a problem that FSR 2.0 later will fix(we got FSR 1.0), this is a problem with TAA. There's definitely a demand to have the motion blur removed, I just hope that its possible to do so.

Edit: fixed the image links..

Large discusion on that already.

Well I personally have to say, TAA is actually the worst invention ever...

I may admit, the moving "saw" on edges don't appear in movements and the density is indeed better, like leaves on the trees or grass, or especially hair ar elooking more smooth and dense.
- But for that nearly the whole screen is darkened, the screen is bacoming indeed totally blurry- even if setting game more shaprness in NC control panels higher, and sometimes you can notice backgropund errors, too...
And I personally hat that!

Sadly every developer swar on that nowadays.. and I really hope someone will invent something far better instead of this.
Honestly said I like SMAA the most, even if it's the most resource costing. (Well you could balance it with fidelity or DLSS then)

Well to the topic:

I noticed if fidelity is activated I got some weird sky- well I dunno how to name it, Shadowing maybe?
I can upload a picture for example.

I actually don't like the idea in general of this. "resolution cheat" I call it.
If I want to play on 4K/UHD I want real 4K/UHD. If I want to play on lower resolution, then just setting it lower...
Also you can see it on performance or balanced mode already this is just upscaling. Immage quality suffers.

what if i tell there is way to use fidelity but turn off TAA. do step by step.

It doesn't work anymore :/ I was playing since 2 months with FSR ON and TXAA and i've change my settings, now it's impossible to select AMD FSR and TXAA together, automatically set TAA with AMD FSR. The game looks so UGLY now with TAA... They have patched the settings so now this method doesn't work anymore !

Why Pearl Abyss ? Why ?

There is already version 2.1 avaliable, but BDO is still at version 1.0 of this feature.

Will we ever see it updated?
