You got to be kidding me right? You trade in a full durability item to repair an item to full furability 1 time. You gain nothing at all except for the fact that you gain space in your residence. What a wonderful update for cooking and alchemy. The best update ever. 1 trillion thumbs up! Maybe make the repair like a 3x use instead of just 1.

It's fine, otherwise it would've destroyed the market.

Well, the fact that the repair tools stack is a definite improvement, because then you don't have to have a bunch of storage slots to store your utensils/tools. And it does make replacing the utensils/tools faster, because then you don't have to deal with the residence UI to remove and replace them. I do agree though that it sucks that you still need more of the utensils/tools to get the repair kits. I was really hoping that this would fix it so that I could always use the supreme utensils/tools, but of course, it doesn't. PA isn't that nice apparently. So, this change is definitely not as good as I would have liked, but I do think that the fact that it saves you storage space is a big win.

Either way, from what they said in the patch notes, their primary motivation for making this change was to help the folks who really care about decorating their residences, because having to remove and then place a new utensil or tool causes them problems. They weren't looking to actually make it easier to have tools or utensils with full durability. They were just looking to make it so that you didn't have to move your furniture to have full durability.

To me, not having to line up multiple alchemy/cooking utensils in a small residence is great.

I can open the door sooo much easier and put down a bed to recover energy

I can craft the advanced cooking/alchemy tools and exchange them for repair tools or use seals to get the supreme tool and exchange it for repair tool.

To use imperial seals of cooking or alchemy for supreme is tools is fine, but i put in a suggestion in feedback that they allow npc of imperial crafting delivery in all major region city be allowed to exchange imperial seals-instead of just heidel & olivia.  We have more regions now.

This is about clearing up storage and housing space nothing more and to not destroy the utensil market.  Way to have something go over your head.

Let me guess OP, you didn't bother to read this in the Blue text Dev thoughts in the patch notes:
"Previously, the residence was crowded with a variety of cooking utensils and alchemy tools, but with the addition of the ability to repair cooking utensil/alchemy tools, you can now install just one tool rather than setting up multiple tools. We hope this opens up options for Adventurers who enjoy cooking/alchemy and decorating their residences. The weight of the repair tool in the Black Desert Global Lab used to be 10LT, but it was changed to 1LT because Barmalo Hona and Lomerun only put in the essential tools to repair. The repair items stacks and can be moved to storage using maids, just like it does in Global Labs, so we hope you find it useful."

How about you keep being you and not contribute anything of value please?

Okay thanks

It IS a nice additon.  @OP, you know, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING DIFFERENT THAN YOU WERE DOING BEFORE.  I for one no longer have to waste space for so many cooking utensils like was mentioned, and I don't have to waste time to remove and replace used up utensils.
