Quality of Life & Content

 

1. Closing chat windows will ask for approval.

2. You can name separate chat windows through the chat widget.

3. All classes automatically sheathe weapons while autopathing.

4. An ETA is included with the distance number when autopathing.

5. The world map breaks down contribution point data to check whether invested production nodes can be assigned a worker.

6. You can tag multiple NPCs on the World Map from the Knowledge window. This may let players know with whom they should raise amity.

7. NPCs with obtainable knowledge now assign special and extended quests to provide a great deal of amity.

8. Any interactive items in view may glow by turning off the UI. This is not the default setting.

9. The quest summary widget that lets a player forfeit, navigate, and move-to has a new button which pops up a window of user comments. A feedback box beneath it lets players share details with new players to soften the experience. Players can vote and sort comments by most helpful or most recent and report off-topic inflammatory notes. They can earn titles measured by helpfulness. [Based on Exos Heroes]

10. There is now a consumable item to protect crystals from shattering upon death even as you're under crowd control effects.

11. Each class has new ethnic voice lines fictional or otherwise that bellows the names of their special attacks.

12. There are methods to actively increase strength XP such as a captcha minigame deadlifting crates.

13. You can disable low health warning and pulsating screen effects.

14. Red Battlefield introduces stages of progression to minimize steamrolls. Every five minutes, a side objective becomes available for both teams. In the first objective, two random weak field bosses such as Red Nose invade the battlefield near the entrance of each base. Killing the first objective grants 25+ DP. There is a chance that the enemy team can kill their boss and last hit your boss for a total 50+ DP. In the second objective, one random medium boss is released into the middle of the small arena. The team that kills the second boss is granted 25+ AP. It is a progressively engaging boss that can chase you across the map such as Laytenn. In the third phase, the team with the least points is granted a random rotation of bonuses like extra movement speed and black spirit's rage regeneration. [Obsolete post-Arena of Solare]

15. The platoon feature increases chances of looting yellow grade or higher quality drops based on the number of members. The party leader is granted extra AP and DP if s/he maintains more than half their health. Other practical solutions to encourage groups could be subtle party bonuses like extra HP Recovery Up and Max MP/WP/SP. This would probably mean world bosses need to be buffed.

16. There is a time-out chat group called Muiquun's Cave. Pearl Abyss won't need to resort to outright bans or permanent mutes. Players who are politically incorrect, deeply offensive, or upsetting in general can be sent here up to seven days. It puts less pressure on customer support and minimizes the stress that comes with constantly regulating behavior and speech. Non-offenders may enter this chat.

17.  There is an NPC that pilots a towing vessel to dock player ships into the closest wharf. Players are alerted when their empty and idle ship is too close to the shore or docking station and will be checked in or collected in half an hour.

18. Special Value Packs include extended access to growth servers or they can be purchasable with loyalty points without VPs, for example Growth Server (7 Days) costs 4,600 loyalties. In this way veterans can access these channels each month. There is a questline available to Guru gatherers, cooks, hunters, and farmers to earn this special item.

19. The mini-map UI element has a feature that lets you reshape and relocate the map to the center right or left of the screen without its borders and matches its current transparency.

20. The inventory can be sorted by weight and price and now includes category tabs such as consumable, quest, tool, armor, and treasure.

21. The NPC Afuaru becomes a treasure merchant who trades housing items of high interior value for legendary grade coins buried in the desert. The items he sells are randomized per month and so are the types of coins he demands; in extension, you may end up with coins he will fixate on at a later time. Each housing item has a temporary buff that could range between extra luck to increased resistance. Afuaru is seen riding a Cadria elephant in the desert with a retinue of security guards trailing his path.

22. The friend list has a separate tab that preserves twenty party members you were most recently paired with to invite or befriend them. It will also notify you of any character and family name changes made by a friend.

23. There are new worker subnodes available and exclusive to the lifeskill with which you achieved Guru. For example, Guru fishers net in additional fishing node choices; Guru farmers, cooks, and alchemists earn extra farm and mushroom nodes; Guru craftsmen and gatherers are handed other mine and forest nodes.

24. There are island outposts which accommodate the Pirate life due to negative naval fame. It has the basic NPCs such as the trade and wharf manager, storage and stable keeper, general goods and material vendor, blacksmith and central market director.

25. There is a quest line to hunt for S-rank ecology knowledge. The completion prize per each region is a large golden framed oil painting appropriate to that region. You can also exchange individual S-rank ecology knowledge for a housing item with NPC Annolisa Rosie, in this case you can trade in an S-rank Balenos Bear knowledge for its Life-Size Taxidermy decoration. These taxidermy decorations provide an increased chance to gain knowledge by 5% and the large golden framed oil paintings provide increased chance to gain higher grade knowledge by 10% with an hour duration each.

26. A legendary rod called Ratt Fishing Rod can be made in a tier 4 tool workshop once PA properly expands Port Ratt. An ultimate rod called Margoria Fishing Rod can be made in a tier 3 tool workshop. These new rods require sea monster ingredients to make. To accompany these rods, Velia and Port Ratt could have fishing ferries that meets at the center of Margoria sea up to forty five minutes before heading back to a six hour long hiatus. The NPCs on board the Port Ratt fishing ferry are vendors stocked with new crab, eel, shrimp, and squid bait.

27. Family Fame has new benefits to trickle XP onto your alt characters. It takes 415,238,632 XP to reach level 50 and 1,261,287,344,700 XP to hit level 61. A character leveling up combat trickles 0.00005% combat XP to every other character. It takes 4,366,800 XP to reach Professional 10 and 735,553,800 XP to hit Guru 1 in each lifeskill. A character leveling up alchemy trickles 0.005% alchemy XP across every alt character. This could compel players to invest in more character slots.

28. The new Pet Command: Filter can be toggled to discard or ignore loot. Listed below the Talents and Skills window are item grades that can be ticked. Tier 1 Pets cannot enable the filter command. Tier 2 Pets can discard green and lower grade items. Tier 3 Pets can discard blue and lower grade items. Tier 4 Pets can discard yellow and lower grade items.

29. The Work Supervisor NPC can reassign the hometown of a Lv. 30 Artisan Worker to a new one for 500G.

30. You can now press Shift+LMB on nodes and NPCs inside the world map to link them into chat when chat window is active.

31. The trading lifeskill increases town transportation options, the number of wagons and the weight limit per wagon the higher the level. From Professional 1 to Master 30 Trading you'll be given an extra wagon per ten levels and +500 LT per wagon that makes in total eight new wagons and 3000 LT per wagon. Guru Trading earns you an extra trading wagon and faster estimated time of arrival.

32. Red Battlefield honors the Most Valuable Player by displaying their most recently updated biography including their name and portrait, combat fame and stats in the victory screen. [Obsolete post-Arena of Solare]

33. The mansions are updated that best reflects the architecture adjacent to its closest city. They could be Elizabethan and Jacobean country style mansions or simple manor houses that feature outdoor elaborate stations with limited storage based on its material types. A furnace station stores and processes ores, gems, ingots, etc. A ranch station could supply you with dairy and poultry types based on the chosen livestock. So long as cities continue to represent workshops, workbenches, and factories as simple housing units, a proper manor should include them as stations in full detail with better yields in contrast to city worker production.

34. The bounty content teased an honor points system that encourages strong players to act as a sheriff. A weak player can post a bounty within ten minutes of their death on a bounty board located near skill instructors or in the game menu. One honor point is awarded per 10M/100G, up to 50M/500G posted. The board classifies each bounty in grades based on the posted amount such as Common, Rare, Superior, Legendary, and Ultimate. The name of the killer and victim is hosted on the board including the closest zone and server at the time the post was made which has a button to jump to that marked location. The honor system has prizes such as karma recovery boosts at 25 points, special titles at 50 points, sheriff costume at 75 points, and a special tome with Amity Gain +30% at 100 points.

35. A character has its own zodiac sign and horoscope quest to challenge players with time. These weekly quests are undertaken during nighttime only. To best explain the underlying concept, a player who has a sealing stone sign, for example, must speak to NPCs in the correct order so as to make out the sealing stone sign using nodes on the map as the constellation. The Black Spirit will give you the first NPC, such as Analynn from the Bloody Monastery Node, Analynn would clue you in for the second NPC, the correct one could be Margaret at Delphe Knight's Castle, followed up with Rovant Marino at Marino's Farm, then Rundebarra at the Eastern Border, and to conclude the quest and complete the sealing stone constellation with Mael Costa at Costa Farm. Each NPC permits you up to five minutes to reach and guess the next NPC otherwise you would restart the process. The quest rewards should be the same across all signs including a zodiac title.

36. In the upcoming realistic immersion update, horseriders equipped with riding crops will whip when accelerating. Resources such as trees, stone veins, and vegetation disappear in the appropriate manner once they're collected.

37. Fughar's Tool Belt lets you store eight gathering tools whether it has eight manos lumbering axes or all six types. The tools can be accessed without occupying the tool slot. The order in which they're implemented is the tool with the least durability and highest training mastery. A tool without durability is returned to the inventory.

38. A dye workshop opens up in major cities that can be assigned a worker to create dyes in eight hours. The dyestuff ingredients to make one regional red dye would be something like a combination of Fruit of Crimson Flame, Bunch of Fire Flake Flowers, Female Kermes, and High Quality Fire Flake Flower.

39. A T10 Mythical Doom Horse is a six-legged dark steed with two long sickle shaped horns emerging from its brows. Its three mythical skills are Dark Roar, Dark Tremor, and Dark Wraith. Dark Roar is an extension of Roar a spammable skill that now emits a flame-filled fire whirl vortex surrounding the horse. Dark Tremor is an additional hind kick effect that erupts the ground and showers volcanic rock from behind. Dark Wraith is an additional charge effect that reveals unknown adventurers.

40. There are now thicker and modern health, mana, energy, and stamina bars across the board.

41. You can hide or display guild, clan, family, and character names separately. This does not affect other players with the Ghillie outfit.

42. A horse now has a new equipment slot for saddlebags to triple its inventory.

43. A petition to swap the Karki Suit processing costume with an appropriate blacksmith tunic.

44. There is a new fishing tool namely lobster traps that, much like setting up a fence on land, can be placed in the ocean that drop into the sea floor and are marked by a buoy on the surface. The crustacean loot table includes crab, lobster, crayfish, shrimp, etc. The average estimated time to collect could be up to six hours.

45. Party members can sail and captain your Epheria sailboats and frigates.

46. Lema Island, Iliya Island, Port Epheria, and Shakatu each have a Voyager NPC who assigns three types of treasure hunting quests. They're called Fortune, Reaper, and Merchant. A Fortune quest sends a player crew, up to five party members, to dig up multiple chests in succession on islands nearby the Ross Sea. The voyager hands the captain or party leader five treasure maps with an X that marks the spot. A Reaper quest sends players to fight pirates on Kuit Islands or Padix Island as well as ghost ships to collect skulls. A Merchant quest sends players to kill sea monsters or rummage through shipwrecks to collect ingots, gems, or crates. A cursed chest applies a random timed debuff to the players holding it such as a one minute slow, stun per minute, heat stroke or hypothermia. A pirate skull applies a permanent mob aggro to the holder and attracts ghost ships and sea monsters to the ship. A star diamond crate alerts all treasure hunting groups where the holder located the item. The second you accept the mission other players who participate in treasure hunting quests are alerted. Naval fame is not in effect across all participants. Treasure hunting groups can only harm NPCs, each other, and their ships. The crow's nest flag will glow a color depending on the quest. A Fortune quest will glow gold yellow, a Reaper quest will glow crimson red, and a Merchant quest will glow emerald green. Players who hold chests, skulls, or merchant items in their inventory will be indicated by a skull icon above their character. Players can store them in the ship inventory but losing the ship means losing the treasure cargo. Players can trade these items between party members and can also bury the items in the island shores across the Ross Sea to reclaim at a later time, but can be dug up by other treasure hunters. Players lose the items if they die in the process or if they leave the party. These items respawn in the appropriate location. Player crews who complete the quest by turning in the items to their original Voyager NPC earn tokens to purchase ship cosmetics, pirate outfits, and special titles. 23. Ether apply the corair's otter effects to the "do not show others effects" toggle, or get rid of the toggle entirely and let everyone see everyone elses effects. The otters being rendered when there are more than 10 corsairs summoning them kills framerates and the text bubbles they produce block actual text from players.

14. It is in fact similar to a MOBA. RBF teleports you into a team deathmatch that eliminates RPG elements such as exploration and character development. The current progression of RBF is to gather the most points and protect the players with the most points. This concept is called bounty gold in a generic MOBA. To achieve your goal, you need to purchase and complete the right items, and protect players who progressively carry the game to victory. One of the common complaints is the element of gearcheck. Players with low gear score cannot participate meaningfully in RBF. The side objectives are one solution.

Technically you can sheathe currently while running, but it's kinda glitchy, and sometimes work, sometimes don't. If you are running and sheathe, you not stop but sheathe, but if you are standing, then it locks you into the place.

It should not be the case, and you should be allowed to run in both cases.

 

But it's not only bugged here. Countless things prevents you from moving, or not work while moving.

I meant to specify autopath running but it looks like I can press tab to sheathe while running in Pre-Awakening, but not with Awakening weapon in Warrior class. I can do both in Archer class.

18.  No, a hard no, no EZ access to Olvia servers that would hurts players on Oliva who are there legitemately, and no PvE servers because that would screw with BDO requiring 2 different development paths to the game.  You can also research the debate about PvE servers there.

 

Your "QOL" requests are not QOL, but your own personal "I WANT" list.

17. I read them. They have the same grievances; in fact, most of them argue for the same solution.

18. How does it hurt Olvia players? What constitutes legitimacy? A returning veteran player with full TET/PEN has the privilege to access Olvia as much as new players. I'm happy to disappoint you: growth servers are effectively PvE servers precisely because veteran players can fulfill the requirements to access them, excepting the Novice exclusive server. The central marketplace is the deciding factor to determine what is developed. PvE and PvP players contribute in their own way by selling what they gather, create, and enhance or prizes they collect.

 

No, you just had me read a dozen threads and I learned that others want this too.
