Guildwars 1 had a super fun PvP system called Hall of Heroes. 8vs8 players battled thier way through various maps to get to the final hall.

My proposal for PA:

1. make PvP character creation tab (just like GW1) the BDO trial character is useless imo

-Player creates a pvp only character with max gear and max skill point and chooses their crystals, weapons, armor ect.

2. make a PvP lobby/server (just like GW1)

-Players gather in the lobby to form groups, show off/flex, and socialize (many people do this at BA already but there are no rewards)

3. make a PvP rewards system (just like GW1)

-Player stats board

-Player titles

-Player emotes

-Player trophies (house decorations)

*edit 4. make a progression style pvp map system like GW1 where players battle through various maps to get to the final Hall of Heroes and dominate!

-This type of progression allows groups to constantly queue up to try to get into the final Hall

-Global announcemnet of Hall of Heroes winners would be made and the party leaders name would be shown (flex status)

-Spectators could watch a time delayed broadcast in game and now with Twitch/Tiktok/youtube BDO could stream or streamers could stream a time delayed broadcast for external spectators (since you want to be constantly broadcasting anyways)

Of course you could bring your regular character to the PvP arena but people could make a pvp only character with max gear and max skills, so almost everyone made a pvp character unless they were flexing because they already had all their skills unlocked and already had max gear. PvP characters could not go into the regular world just like BDO trial characters cannot...but BDO trial characters are inferior.

GW1 also had 1v1 and 4v4 arenas and Guild Vs. Guild. GW1 had esports btw! there are many games to reference and get ideas from PA...if you want to develop esports this is a direction you should look at taking.

*Allow the player to make one of every available character in the PvP character tab

*Make all weapons/armor/crystals/fairy(max res&pots on fairy) all max level...show us what end game looks like and dangle that carrot

In GW1 players liked to flex by typing /rank and then an emote would burst forward from the character like, Tiger, Dragon, Phoenix, Chuck Norris. Top tier groups forming would have pugs /rank to join and no one could lie!

PvP was about skill not gear gains...though occasionally there was a person with their ingame character that was fully maxed out and they enjoyed being able to flex their custom armor and hard work!

You could actually implement your inexhaustable well function on the fairy by adding enviromental maps! then the person that did max everything out could really flex! it would then be worth it to spend money in game on your character because it would be fun to show off your skill and wallet size :p

One more thing. It was prestigious to hold the hall! as groups battle to get to the hall the winning team has to hold it or lose it! there's 23 characters in BDO atm and countless combinations of groups that could be created to battle their way to get into the Hall and claim glory and dominance.

The only one purpose gearing have in this game is to PvP. If you remove the progression from PvP, then you might just remove all gears, grinding, anything, literately 90% of bdo, as they lose their only purpose.

Also emotes, titles, trophies, they are completely worthless for the overwhelming mayority of the players.

the best thing about doing this kind of arena pvp would be that people could make a pvp character, any pvp character :) also emotes and titles are fun and an overwhelming majority of players wear titles :)
