Just get 30 Storage Maids and 20 Marketplace Maids and 192 town storage from Pearl Shop for Valencia, Grana, Heidel, Velia, Altinova, O'draxxia, and Calpheon. And you'll never ever have wieght or inventory issues on any other character down the road. Yeah you'll might be spending upwards of $800 for the complete package.

That is not even where people spend their silver.

They spend on costumes for silver or crons.

Im was tempted to spend 1k to boost to get my bs to pen with 366 fs. But no way I will ever do it. When you pay for progress then what is point of playing game anymore..

Keep in mind you also invest on game that might die in future.

@EgoAdNauseam

... Yeah, got it, that's another way to suggest that BDO implies heavy purchases, through excessive claims, to frighten the uninformed players.

Classic.

Damn I was actually informing people on how to actually save money long term. Sure they can spend like $120 pre character. But honestly I think it much better just to buy the total package and save hundreds of $$$ long term. $800 might be a small exaggeration. But still buying this complete package, you'll start saving before you make your 5th or 6th character.

Nice attempt at a insult btw. I guess you will reccomend this uninformed players to spend about $110 or more without sale on each character. When they can spend $400 to $600 one time, and be virually fool proof from weight or inventory issues. For all of their characters. Yeah look at who is being thick now.

And here I am, playing about every 10-16 months for a few weeks/1-2 months but spending 500-1k every time I do.

Hmmm... Well, I guess if I were subbed (VP) all the time and just buying a few costumes it would probably be about the same sum.

Yeah, BDO seems like it preys on new players. But everyone that actually plays continuously knows what shop items are actually worth and if you actually need them or not (depending on how many characters said player actually mains). One of the first things people tell new players is what not to spend their money on. Because everyone knows normal people will think it's a rich mans game only. And longtime players know full well you can spend like a whale, but you really do not need to.

...but I have to agree, BDO can be expensive af if you really want it all or can't be bothered with understanding it's gameplay and monetization.

Buying 30-30 maids gives more cONvEniEnCE than buying weight or inventory slots directly, however on certain parts, you can't really not buy weight or inventory, like fishing needs the max slots, or imperials/processing are better with more weight.

Though inventory slots ain't that big of an issue than it used to be. If you play since long, they already gave away enough to unlock a character fully for free. They on the otherhand never gave away weight, that is P2W only.

True, but then you'll only need to spend about $120 for weight and inventory, only on that one lifeskilling character. The rest of your characters can thrive just on maids and town storage..

AwakenedKuno, you are saying you need all this, when the fact is you want all this instead. It is like my grandchild, when she told me she wants a real pony for Christmas. I told the girl, real ponies are a lot of work, they cost you a lot of money, and in the end they turn into ugly horses very fast. Why do you think Santa gives them away? That might seem a bit harsh, but it is the real truth about many free animals. Anything you are given freely - without a cost - has no real value. This is why all the toys from last Christmas are already ignored, broken, or in the garbage.

I mostly agree with PeaceInChaos on his list of why you don't need them. I got the free bikini and sailor scout outfit. I personally never have used the horse whistles, I have a lot of them in inventory, honestly wishing I could gift them to others.

Character slot, I still have 2 empty and that is because I just cashed in 10K Loyalty points this month. I am still researching what class I want next, that is going to hurt my fall season ... maybe. Passes, bundles, coupons, etc. all of this virtual stuff is just given to me by Pearl Abyss. I own well decorated house in Calpheon right now, just for login rewards.

Why do I spend cash money on this game? The same reason I am giving her a pony, I don't need to, but I do it mostly out of guilt. Pearl Abyss makes me feel guilty giving me so many freebies. After being in MMOs that charge you for everything, this game feels free to play, however nothing is free to play. I won't name and shame, but the last company - I alpha tested, beta tested, and played - are so greedy, they charge for;

Lockbox keys $1.25 each sold only in bundle of 10.
Skill rebuild $3 to rebuild all your skills.
Event bundles $50 new events happen monthly and all the pay to win stuff was in them.
Character slots $7.50
8 bank slots $5
Character rerole $5
Appearance change $10
Mounts ranged from $40 down to $10
If you don't want to play the game at all, they offered various buyouts for $20 each, a total of $100 for all five. These prices are in US Dollars.

I am pretty sure you can see, one can play any game and spend $200 or more. But no one is forcing you to play that way. I don't even get the monthly VPs, I just use the 1 day value packs I get for Loyalty Points.

I applaud anyone who realizes they desire to spend money on Black Desert. This allows people to play casual and carefree. They pay to keep the servers running, the programmer's wages, and the janitor mopping up at night. I know I am a barnacle on the hull of Pearl Abyss. Another lifetime ago, I spent too much on Guild Wars. I bought just about everything and sometimes twice over in the one and only Guild Wars. I never cared for the sequel. The orignal game, I still own, cost me at least $500 over time.

If I have extra money at the end of the month, I toss it at PA as "Thank you, for making the game!", it is less about what I spend the pearls on. I will probably just get more of the damn RNG dye. "Oh you want purple?", asks the PA store, "Here are 3 more off whites! They have a little purple in them.".

Have fun!

"Informing people" by suggesting the purchase of 50 maids and maxxing main cities' storage? Yeah, sure.

Quoted as proof :

While the hint in itself is not bad, you clearly twist it and exaggerate it. Mixing reality with exaggeration and lies for your argumentation : HELLO SOPHISM!

And I would have probably suggested the same thing, but without a sordid attempt of manipulation.

Like "hey, you should consider the purchase of some maids and some storage slots, depending on your needs".

See the difference?
