This would be very nice indeed, but I would like to see 100% Linux and not the Proton Steam offers.  I have nothing against using Wine, Play on Linux, or Proton.  I have an older laptop I run Linux OS and Wine, but using Wine or any fork of Wine, is actually translating the DirectX into OpenGL for the game.  The overlay will reduce framerate and may have graphic issues (normally with shaders) when rendering the Windows version.  It would be great if Pearl Abyss, can also offer the users a Linux version as well.

Even on my desktops throughout the house, I run Linux OS as my primary OS, and have this game with a few other noncompliants on a seperate Windows 10 HDD.  Having to use Windows is the real chore, since I left XP back in 2010.  All people have a right to use the OS they choose, just as Pearl Abyss has the right to refuse to make the port to Linux.

A full Linux port of the game would assure 100% compliance with Linux OS.  I was able to purchase many games for Linux OS in the past. The direction today seems to be making them for Windows and using Proton or some other fork of Wine, just to claim they are Linux compatible.  Sorry if I sound like a wet blanket, getting the EAC to Linux is a huge step in the right direction.

Have fun!

My primary reason for using windows was retired thanks to a hardware solution - and BDO is basically the one thing keeping me from a full switch. I have a automagically mirrored home environment which lets all my rigs be the "same" login experience - at work or home, so having my main rig finally join the fold will be very nice.

From what Epic is saying, the only thing PearlAbyss has to do is flip a toggle in EAC to support linux so that'd be great.

I'd love support for my MBP M1 chip. I can run parallels fine, and steam and BDO loads up. EAC prevents me from logging in further, telling me "host architecture not supported (ARM64)". Is this the only reason I can't connect with EAC on my MBP? I wish I could play it on it.
