Potato is making a very valid point.

The loudest are often the most jilted, bitter, attention seeking trouble makers.. who's man objective is to either get attention/likes or attack the game from within and often the ones most likely to 'like' are cut from the same cloth.

Hated the old kakou forum, in the end, unless you had something negative to say you got no support, bullies essentially and cronies half the time like Potato says, trolls arguing for argument's sake!

Dislikes ain't help anything on suggestions, as PA still couldn't give less f about the players.

Also if you would've follow what PA says, they talked about a specially designed site for the suggestions, so assuming that not joins the long list of broken promisses, this already lost it's point in this sense.

There is already reddit and discord and there are downvote/vote option on both, still there are thousands of suggestions which are totaly unanswered by PA, surely if a suggestions now gets to disliked, then the dislike buton magically starts implementing the suggestions jk...

There is problem with your idea of linking accounts.  Pearl Abyss should already have some idea of who has more than the one account.  However there is no 100% proofing method available to them. For example; both myself and my spouse own individual accounts, at least 3 of my neighbors play this game, and who knows how many within my city.  Everyone in my city uses the same Internet Service Provider (ISP).

About the only method I can think of to make sure who owns the account would be the billing. However Visa gift cards can be purchased at many stores.  Since my spouse bought both of our accounts,  it probably looks like I own 2 and don't even play that much on one of them.   Getting people online to provide photo ID would be just as bad.  The cell phone OTP service only proves you own a phone.  I don't recall what the cheapest phone is at the store but burner phones are offered everywhere.

Any user can do the following; use different payment methods to sign up, create more than one email to login, and appear to be running the game on different PC's at several locations.  Unless you or someone else can tell Pearl Abyss, how to sort all their users and link their accounts, this would appear to be a major stumbling block.   If you just guess at it, then two individuals might get linked that have no relation to each other.  Data would get shared with complete strangers, just because they live in the same apartment building that shares wifi service.

I understand you think  one person with 10 accounts is going to jump in here and say they want the horse made out of cheese.  Then they use the 9 others to like it up.  Besides it being a silly idea, they will most likely study the metadata to see who voted.  Unless the user owns a lion's share of the accounts, I seriously doubt they would have enough to swing their foolish ideas and agendas.  I will voice my opinion and I just ignore things beyond my ability to have any affect upon.

I was skeptical at first, but so far it's pretty useful. I just hope it doesn't turn into the toxic feedback system that reddit has. On reddit, every post is downvoted for BDO. Some communities are like that and BDO's is one of the worst I've seen. The crusade is nuts there, I'm glad to have deleted my reddit account but now I wonder if these forums will eventually become the same? Hopefully not, although Reddit was designed with division of the people in mind, PA designed BDO with competition in mind but... it's arguably very similar.

Hopefully it'll turn out fine, but at least they can turn off the downvote system if they have to because seeing a lot of downvotes everywhere will discourage people from participating.

I don't think that episode was filmed in Hollywood.  I think most of Black Mirror is European based productions.

If you bring a valid point to the table it can make a difference and just because PA doesn't go 'We're listening CatDK and we'll make those changes you suggested' (and I don't think it's necessary for them to get involved in the drama)doesn't mean that making an effort to give reasonable feedback won't have an impact..

For example: My thread about Item 'Collection increase Guage'. Where I suggested it stays on screen, well this week it was changed, pretty obvious change to be fair, whether I had anything to do with it who knows and I don't care, but it was a valid suggestion and worth mentioning. 

Or a lot of reasonable ideas I suggested in Archers rework, amazingly appear to be in the works, again whether specifically I had anything to do with it, is irrelevant just glad I may of helped in some way.

PA is reasonable and trying to balance for everyone, of course with an honest profit and expect reasonable feedback/suggestions

Likes dislike are fine and are the trend, help in some ways, hinder in others.. one of the reasons I don't touch Facebook bunch of attention seekers, no one actually likes anything just want a like back anyway I digress

Can't comment if Potato is 'angry' the point was not about likes and dislikes, but profiles having a tangible identity in this forum to keep it in check and it would only be linked to BDO from what I understand, I also understand privacy but 100s of fake profiles invites trolls and will be the demise of this forum, for me at least 

Negative option is an option, even if it hurts your feelings.

btw the official clow... erm.. suggestion section of the official discord is at 1596 suggestions. It have likes/dislikes, care giving me a statistics, on how much of that "mere" 1.6k suggestion was adressed by PA or just answered by them to go and f yourself? I have a rather strong feeling that it's ~1% at best which is basically just accidentaily covered by random changes...
