Where do I get a "free" PEN?  The V Crescent Ring I got through Jetina cost me about 10 billion silver-ish.  The upcoming guaranteed PENs will cost anywhere from 7 - 10 billion each piece, or even more depending on the price of Memory Fragments and BMCs.  It'll take about a month to get one PEN through the guranteed method.  Confused.

Maybe they could make enhancing more paletable, sure.  Just not with your suggestions lol, I'm glad you're not a dev.

Ok so the most toxic part with enhancement is going back down to pri failing tri the most waste of memory fragments is going back to duo and trying to get tri. Remove degrade to pri make duo stick when failing tri. Then we can click to get tri and get tet clicks that alone would make it more player friendly keep costs as is soo scrolls nets silver atm

Remove RNG entirely! Make the gear progression based and while it may still take months to complete, it's entirely not RNG reliant and you feel rewarded every step of the way instead of penalized.

Oh wait, that's not how PA makes their whale money so i guess that won't happen. Shame :'(

Biggest thing that helped the reliance on RNG was the Central Market. Not defending PA here, but you seem to be ignorant of huge QoL that helped BDO's accessibility exponentially and it just seems incredulous, if anything.

Speaking from experience. I hate RNG progression. It's the reason I quit BDO a while back, when TET boss gear was the same in status as full C13 nowadays. Blew up full TRI boss downto PRI and full TRI in those days was decent. Quit the game, came back because of boredom. Played casually, then CM released. And from there, it seems the sky was the limit since I could set realistic goals. And I'm no geared monkey...only 309/310/362 N. But if it wasn't for CM, I'd be nowhere near this, and nowhere near competitive in RBF, GvG or node war. Would do more siege, but Saturdays are booked, but the point is -- You already have what you're asking for.

Or I'm not reading your request right and what you really want to say is, "PA, make BDO easier for me" idk it just seems this request is just asking for more handholds when the game is literally throwing out handholds left and right nowadays. Near 650 GS in a week of gameplay via Season+??? C'mon. Ask for possession of the Sahara Desert and Dubai while you're at it!

No, I'm talking about removing RNG entirely from the game but then BDO wouldn't be BDO. There's nothing easy or hard about RNG, it's just random dumb luck. But if you had a system that was based around skill you would be onto something but this isn't the case here. I'm not asking for anyone to hand hold anything, I'm asking for a system that involves zero RNG. Whatever you do, you do it because you have a goal in mind and you see it through every step of the way even if it takes months to progressively improve your weapon to "end game". Kind of like the Anima weapon in FF14, you had to do quests after quests after quests and find things throughout the world to make it stronger until it became the best it can be. But, not as boring because that was an awful questline that I did twice and never again. They did improve the method of which you can do it for the better variants though.

Like I said, they won't remove RNG from this game because 1. That's the appeal for a some amount of people BUT 2. Those people are whales and have gambling problems. And that's good for PA.

I guess it triggers me when people ask to make BDO easier, when it's like the game has been made to be so linear, so straight-forward, and so...."mundane" over the course of the past year or so.  Gone are the days of optimizing worker empires, spending time analyzing the market to figure out which nodes to send workers to, for example.  Gone are the days of cleverly discovering new ways to optimize one's profits by utilizing a mix of AFK, semi-AFK, and active gameplay.  Nowadays, all it is is: Grind mobs, grind mobs, oh and don't forget, grind more mobs.

Gone is meaningful PvP.  Back in the day, KarmaBombers were shamed, but now it's almost glorified (at least on the official forum by some people).  Worker empires are obsolete and not-needed.  Market analysis to figure out what to gather is nearly dead.  Not like I did gathering, but the concept of discovery, the concept of trail and error, the concept of "overcoming adversity", is virtually gone in this game when all you need to do is grind 30 mins a day at a trash spot to get a V Cresecent Ring, of all things.

Don't get me wrong, I love the direction the game is going on certain things.  I wholeheartedly agree that we need guranteed progression in a linear, time-gated, a clear "step 1, step 2, step 3" direction spelled out by the game to the players (handholds), and I like the timing of the guaranteed PEN.  Base PEN is literally nothing by today's standards for PvP, you want at least C13 in today's PvP scene, so in 5-7 months when the Season players get the guaranteed base PEN, it'll be even less relevant.  Which means, those players still need to put in the hours, like the vets did, just in an "easier" way (no brain needed).

Sorry for being cynical.  BDO is still my favorite MMO and main game.  Sorc feels great in today's META, well, if opponets aren't actually geared.  Her damage lacks against high evasion targets, unlike classes like DK and Ranger who can still perform well at low AP, given the PvP scenario (give Ranger a solid frontline to hide behind, she is a DPS machine, even with sub-300 AP.  DK doesn't know what evasion is, and doesn't care).  Guess my point is:  BDO has changed a lot over the years.  The game is easier, and more accessible than ever.  So reading requests to make this game even more braindead than it was 4 years ago...just rubs me the wrong way, I guess.
