Succession sorc has severe identity crisis. It lacks the damage. It has low mobility. No utilities or team support. Not a tank, not a proper mage or assassin. @Devs the best way to assess it is to seriously fix the class's purpose and then tune it accordingly. Adding FG, SA or reducing CD wont fix anything.

Either fix succ sorc or merge it with awakening.

 

I'll just leave this link here, maybe ( !?) PA will look at this... here's tons of idea to brind succ sorc identity .

Yes, it pretty much sums up all the issues. 

But to be honest: The worst part of all is really the little damage we make in PVP (PVE is less an issue to me). About -70% less PVP damage on violation in succession is just a bad joke, especially when considering that we are already short of skills compared to awakening.

Disclaimer I am not a pro but since most of the people asking for succ sorc changes arent making any sense heres what i got from Plasma09 who spoke to other succ sorcs like Enfrax, Migatzu, Kaiju etc

As well as some changes id like that i placed in italics

 

Succession Sorc

- Put an Iframe at the beginning (movement part) of prime stinger when using shards OR  preferably just remove shard usage from Rushinc Crow and Stinger & keep the distance

- linger SA and CC removal of rushing crow

-Prime Rushing Crow upgrade - press space during or after rushing crow to dash a 2nd time using shards 

- Blackwave pop doing full damage and hits no matter if you activate it manually with F

- Prime Violation generating shards/Less pvp dmg reduction: Spin Hit from 70% to 58%, Extra Hit from 59% to 44%, 4-9% Accuracy added

- Prime Turn back slash generating shards (potential slight range increase)

- Crow flare giving back 5-20 shards (whichever is balanced)

- Bloody calamity damage boost by 15-20%/Less pvp dmg reduction: from 62% to 50%

- New cancels for abyssal flame (such as after DoD, stinger, rushing crow and calamity)

- A new protected movement skill (prime : sinister omen ?) that works the same as Hashashin 3rd rabam sand tornado (that's just an idea) 

- Dark flame & Ultimate Dark flame less pvp dmg reduction from 75% to 65% on both (not 100% sure on the dmg reduction percentages as this could bring the class back to pre mediah which i defo dont want)

 

I am guessing the next prime skill will be Cartians Nightmare or Grim Reapers Judgement so i dont think we need another burst skill right now however, if we dont get a burst skill from awk as a prime skill then

-Prime Shard Explosion (FG or SA) sped up animation 7-15sec cooldown, decent aoe size (not sure on dmg probably similar to GRJ so around 2000x6)

 

Percentages can be changed to whats more balanced just a starting point

Another thing I want to mention is when using shards explosion, if the shard is 0 and trying to activate the skill, the character resets to non combat stance and the skill goes on CD. It shouldnt activate if there is no shard(give a popup msg of insufficient shard). 

 

Also, after midnight stinger if I use crow flare immediately then try to activate bloody calamity, it won't activate. But normally after CF it does.

I dont know if this happens on awakening as well.

Sorc succession is probably the best succession of all the classes in this game, why ?

It allow you to have a different playstyle from awakening, or at least it was the case when sorc succession was allowed to do long range damage, I wish devs would keep going that way, even with other classes.

 

Right now those changes seems nice but it doesn't do much for the long range playstyle.

It also feel like you don't know what you want to do with those succession.

If it was me I would make all the succession different playstyle from awakening so that players can experience different things if they wish to. (and not because it's op or not...)

I dont have the source unfortunately, i heard it first in KR_Rowlan's stream (but the video is long gone) he mentioned that during one of the Balls PA puts on, they mentioned/gave incling that all Successions would be getting 1 extra Prime skill and Core skills

Things you need to 100% address on awake sorc rework that haven't been touched:

- Engulfing shadow bug where 2nd part of the skill gets cancelled if you're hit

- Hitboxes from awakening skills, this class legit doesn't work work when fighting in slight slopes and elevated terrain

- Passives of the class, we dont need evasion and dp, we need ignore kd/bound resist and accuracy

- Revert the kicks or make block jump actually usable

- If you want us to incorporate jumping into movement (since iframe now), change activation keys for cry of darkness, its too easy to cast the skill by accident when we're trying to run forward and jump

 

Things that would leave sorc in a better spot

- Class can't keep up with others when engaging, chasing or running away, something needs to be done about the mobility of the class since we waste all our stamina just trying to keep up and sorc is legit useless when depleted of stamina in large/medium scale. Suggestions were double leap (awake) and double rushing crow (succ), plenty of classes that can engage faster and as safe as sorc and then just run away as fast as they came, we can only stay in the fight and try to be as annoying as possible until we die or people forget we exist, not chasing us down

- Nightmare should have some vertical capabilities, awakening is way too 2D, no tools to really punish people that are a bit above us just camping a wall or a rock or a box. Not talking about a huge teleport, just around same range as nightmare already has.

- Give succ sorc FG on backwards darkstep and allow both specs to regenerate stamina again while using this skill

The changes so far for sorceress are good, there is no doubt in that. But PLEAESE give us any way to have a fair fight against block SA classes (warr, valk, guardian, nova). In the current state of the game, all they have to do is press Q, then wait for us to get next to them because we have to, then grab us and finally deal damage... This is not just when fighting as a sorceress, but as any other non-grab class. It is extremely frustrating to lose a duel just because the player against you can press Q and E in the correct moment.

This problem has many more possible solutions than I can think of but here are a few options:

1) Make TBS ingore SA when hit in the back ONLY for shield classes. OR

2) Remove SA when blocking for shield classes.  OR

3) Give sorceress and every other class a grab OR

4) Make grab not work on super armor.

Well, if you are playing awakening yes. If you are succession the changes so far are pretty underwhelming:

 - crit on violation is nice but the real issue with violation is the low accuracy and especially the 70% damage reduction in PVP. 

- forward guard on dark backstep: the skill was useless before, it is useless now. Make the forward guard on darkness released when going backwards to give us a protected disengage. 

 - shadow riot going behind the opponent: probably needs somewhat getting used to but at the moment I really hate it since it is extremely disorienting

- in general sorc is really slow to move around, it is pretty much impossible to chase any other class. But I guess in a state where a guardian outruns a musa we shouldn´t hope that they fix anything about the movement speeds of some classes I guess.

 

I have to play a bit more with it but at the moment I am not convinced these changes do anything for succession which already is mediocre compared to awakening.
