For Succession,

1. Add protection to Prime Black wave to the regular waves but no protection on the last pop which does CC instead.(A mixture of Cartians Nightmare and Grim Reapers Judgement)

2. Make Prime Claws of darkness long range attacks.

3. Make Prime Crow Flare AOE range bigger.

4. Focus the damage of Prime Bloody Calamity on the ranged part. Make it the nuke skill for succ sorc. Make the hp recovery 4% total hp per hit on the first part of the attack only but deal low damage, remove the hp recovery on the long range attack and deal very high damage.

5. Add FG to Prime Turn-back Slash.

6. Change to SA instead of FG on Prime Violation.

7. Add FG on Prime Dream of Doom when charging.

8. Remove bound from Prime Rushing Crow, full SA on skill use. No shard cost and always dash full range.

9. Add FG on Prime Midnight Stinger, remove stiffness. No shard cost and always dash full range.

10. Add Prime Version of Shard Explosion(Faster cast speed, better damage, range, AOE and does CC) and Sinister Omen(Summon a killable Minion).

11. Add Prime version of Mark of the Shadow(CC based burst attack that chains from target to target and goes on cooldown) and Signs of Agony(large AOE stun but does no damage, goes on long cooldown).

 

Succession intends to focus on the mage side of sorc. So the suggestion is to Emphasize on long range attacks and less on close quarters.

 

I am not so sure about these recommendations, we don´t really need so much protection. Our iframes are pretty much the best in the game, just make stamina handling a bit easier for us (as in: let us regenerate stamina while using some other skills) and improve the speed/distance of it. I don´t really want the class to become a simplified distance nuke class that needs no skill because they are protected 24/7. I like nuking the enemies from a distance to lower their HP or even CC them and then go in and finish them off. What annoys me is the finish them off part because violation and many of our melee skills do so little damage or lack accuracy that it takes a pretty long combo to kill someone. In 1v1 this is not an issue, you can get them CCed long enough. But in large scale / RBF you get killed by someone else before that or need to disengage after a few seconds if you want to survive.

Granted, my experience is mostly from RBF which probably is not the best reference due to the weird damage calculation (worst change ever by the way....). But I don´t assume wars are much different in this regard.

Just admit it. They have no idea how to fix succ sorc. Obviolsy they didn't play the spec to have made the changes, or lack of changes they have on glabs right now. Succ sorc is a hybrid class that doesn't excel at anything. 1v1 isn't great and requires a lot of gear to pull off. Groups fight is pretty decent, and pve takes way more effort than awk and you can cannot outgrind it after previous buffs it got. Succ sorc has a major identity problem.

I really want to see some good changes to succ sorc... we could be like magic ninja , that will be soo soooooo lovely ^^  But this changes we get is just joke, pure joke - plus we really need some new animations exclusive for succ  that will give identity boost .

I'd like Succ to get a lot more looked over this kit. imo what i'd like on it is.

 

An S block.

 

more dps than awk sorc, since we cant really run from a fight like awk sorc, there needs to be that 1vX potential of fast kills.

 

core skills on succ.

 

more t3 skills in the addon pool to choose from considering one of the addon skills is an awk skill only.

 

offensive passives... As an assassin class idk why our passives are dp and evasion.

everyone nowadays is running adamantines so combos wont really work so more damage needs to be a thing.

 

Rework: sinister omen, sharp nails, bloody contract, I've plays for 3 years on sorc and i have either never used these skills or barely use them.

 

Claws of darkness is only ever used when im all out of other skills to cast thats the only time it gets used that should get a buff.

 

The castables that CC need to be faster which I've seen at least one of them get faster in a video idk if they all have i didnt bother looking but if they are then ignore this one i havent done enough research to see if you guys did this already. 

 

Prime midnight stinger: I feel needs to have a certain distance not based off shards Having a skill that changes its distance based on shard use is bad for muscle memory, IMO it shouldnt be short like absolute but shouldnt be as far as a prime full shard use maybe in the middle of them. 

 

For PVE we need a decent amount of changes i'd say at oluns its very common for groups to want strikers they do the best damage for tanky mobs as a succ sorc i consider us kinda like strikers since we fight with our hands out just like them and mystics. If your goal in the rework is to make everyone feel like a 2021 class then make everyone get similar numbers in PVE. The amount of animation cancelling i have to do to pull less numbers then i striker just using rLMB and lLMB combo is just absurd. for starters we should have a t3 skill addon on a spammable skill thats in our pve rotation like them and then just some simple number crunching to make us on par pve wise.

 

New skill idea for succ: taking some idea from ESO they had a skill in that game called proximity detonation and what you'd do is put a magical orb on your player and in 8 secs it explodes dealing damage to nearby players and that number would go up the more players in the AEO. For how succ plays very in your face all the time this skill would be a nice touch i feel like doesnt have to be just like eso it can be a flat amount of damage and not scale the more ppl are there.

 

A skill for shield classes or perma SA classes, im 305k and i only did about 40% shield to my valk friend who just blocked the whole combo i had to Ebuff to break his shield if im dfsing i cant be using ebuff or i get told the duel doesnt count so there should be something to counter shields besides ebuffing.

 

Im sure i can come up with more changes that i'd like to see but i don't have the time for that now, and srry if my notes are all over the place i kinda just wrote down what came to my mind at the time.

I have to ask, how come this class was never a real range spell class like the one people think of when you say Sorceress?

First when i heard about BDO and Sorceress, i thought cool i can play a mage style female class and then i found out she was melee...

This feedback will mainly be for succ Sorc.


At the moment our kit lacks a lot. We don't have a lot of protected cc/dmg, nor decent movement (lacking long range movement and needing to many shards for our current movement) nor enough dmg or other tools like grab/guard gauge break to deal with sa/block classes. We are also missing utility and purpose.
There are a lot of changes that could help with this problems so i'm just gonna list a few of those, that i would like to see the most.

Protections:
Since our iframes are key to our kit i don't think sorc should have too many protections on her skills. I rather have good links between skills, fast animations and a few little changes to our protection.

- Frontal guard on Prime: Black Wave [done that. good job. now keep going ;) ]
- lingering SA on Prime : Rushing crow (SA not only while moving but also on attack. Remove Bound on hits)
- either better links from and to other skills or Frontal guard on Shadow Wave

Movement:

What we need is atleast one long range movement skill and some improvements regarding shard management, since right now most classes can move further and faster than succ sorc.
- remove shard cost on Prime: Midnight Stinger and Prime: Rushing Crow but keep the enhanced effects
- Prime: Crow Flare gives 15 shards on use / 30 if you don't remove shard cost on MS and RC
- return Sinister Shadow, increase range and make it link better with more skills
- fix Engulfing Shadow so that it either has no collsion anymore or just doesn't lose its protection after hitting someone with that skill
- add new skill  "Servant's Ascent" wich has SA and 20 seconds cooldown (long range movement skill which makes you leap into the air and then fly into the direction of your camera. Comparable to Berserker's Giant Leap or Sage's Divine Executioner. This will allow movement over obstacles and also give us a better engage/disengage option wihtout using most of our stamina and/or shards. Depending on movementrange the cooldown could be higher)

Damage:
Nowadays most classes (especially the new ones) have really good dmg output while being protected most of the times. Succ sorc lacks that dmg since the succession nerfs if you keep in mind that a lot of our kit is unprotected or just has a Frontal guard. It is definitely not on the lower end but it is also not enough to be able to deal with SA/ block classes. I suggest to up the dmg of most skills a bit so that we don't end up having just two or three hard hitters and fully relying on them to deal good dmg. All numbers i provide are just suggestions based on my thoughts what might be good and will definitely need further tweaking. So please keep that in mind and focus on the aspect that our dmg just needs to be tweaked a bit. Also changing both normal damage modifier and PvP damage modifier will help in both, PvE and PvP.
- Prime: Black Wave (1250% x6  ->  1300% x6) [PvP damage -60.6%  ->  -55%]
- Prime: Midnight Stinger (542% x3 -> 660% x3)
- Prime: Rushing Crow (684.5% x4 ->  740x4)
- Prime: Bloody Calamity (Hit Damage 1013% x6 -> 1113% x6, when used instantly 1013% x3 -> 1013% x4, Last Hit Damage 1013% -> 1450% x7) [might look like a big buff on last hit dmg but that will be explained later on]
- Prime: Dark Flame (keep the buff you gave it but don't leave the pvp dmg as it was before) [PvP damage -74.8% -> -65%]
- Absolute: Beack Kick (340% x4 -> 620% x4) [PvP damage -55% -> -50%]
- Prime: Crow Flare (702% x5 -> 860% x5) [PvP damage -33.8% -> -33%]
- Prime: Shadow Eruption (1233% x4 -> 1300% x4) [PvP damage -51.2% -> -40%]
- Prime: Abyssal Flame (Hit Damage 922% x3 -> 1000% x3, Charged Hit Damage 1153% x5 -> 1250% x5) [PvP Hit Damage -37% -> -30%, Charged Hit Damage -23.3% -> -15%]
- Prime: Dream of Doom (Hit Damage 1445% x4 -> 1550% x4, Extra Servant Hit Damage while charging 1445% x2 -> 1550% x3) [PvP damage -26.5% ->  -22%]
- Prime: Violation (Spin Hit Damage 1065% x6 -> 1220% x6, Extra Hit Damage 1224% x6 -> 1330% x6) [PvP Spin Hit Damage -70.2% -> -60%, Extra Hit Damage -58.9% -> -45%]
- add a new skill "Servant's Maelstrom" which fires a a burst of dark energy to the front. This should have medium to long range range (a bit less than Prime: Abyssal Flame), a Frontal guard and good damage, while having a slightly high cooldown and a short casting animation (comparable to Prime: Abyssal Flame but a bit shorter). Maybe something like 1500% x 5 Hit Damage with 18 seconds cooldown. Depending on damage, cast time and cooldwon you should maybe be able to cancel out of the cast animation with an iframe.

Utility/other changes:
Succ Sorc doesn't have any impactful utility and still has some unused skills aswell as unfitting passives. Reworking her passives and reworking those skills might help a lot.
- Change DP and Evasion passives into something like Accuracy and Ignore Resistance passives. This would hlep with succ Sorc's problem of lacking accuracy and also would help against resistance meta. (could be something like +12% all Accuracy and +10% ignore all Resistances)
- Give Prime: Bloody Calamity atleast 250 hp recovery per hit on it's Hit Damage and 100 hp recovery per hit on it's Las Hit Damage (this would make it the "powerful way for Sorceress to recover HP" you apparently want it to be and also the way lower recovery on Last Hit is to make up for it's higher damage and also to give this skill a more unique feeling so it doesn't just feel like a second DoD)
- Rework Bloody Contract (use 10 Shards and 30% of your mana to get +5% movement speed, +1% castspeed and 100 HP every 3 seconds for 12 seconds. 25 seconds cooldown [Make it SA and switch it from a charging skill into a buff skill like Shards of Darkness or Dark Trade. This is not a big buff but something like this would atleast be useful compared to what Bloody Contract is now]
- Rework Sinister Omen (Spawn a servant, that enhaces your next Dream of Doom, Shadow Eruption, Bloody Calamity or Abyssal Flame to debuff all hit enemies. -20% movement speed, -20% attack speed and -20% cast speed for 6 seconds with a 35 second cooldown) [This would give us a bit of utility with a few different options to use it. The spawning animation needs to be way smoother and faster than it is now]

I think those changes would be impactful without making succ sorc too strong. It would fix or atleast help with a lot of of problems succ sorc is facing right now, like having enough mobility to face SA/ block classes. I don't think sorc needs to hardcounter these classes by getting a grab or Guard gauge break, but more dmg, better movement and a bit more utility should be enough to be able to deal with them.
Also it would obviously be really nice to get new animations for our Prime skills to give succ sorc a nice unique feeling. You could actually use some of your skill animations from Shadow Arena.
