I hope I hate all these tanky new zones in elvia it takes years to burn them down and im 278/280/323 pen kutum I prefer the 1 HP hit mobs to kill much more fun

So instead of having more interesting fights where you have to use many skills, you just want to hold one or two buttons down until you're done grinding for 2hrs? Sounds terribly boring. I don't think that kind of content will appeal to many people, the hack and slash thing isn't really a popular type of gameplay, nor does it feel rewarding by any means. PA needs to focus on introducing rewarding mechanics rather than the opposite.

 I prefer hack and slash Gameplay, and more engaging gameplay for dungeon or raids

grinding spot are braindead and difficulty hidden behind a trash loot number isn't appealing or fun to me

Personally I dislike the 1-hit-kill enemies and am extremely happy for Elvia and other areas where they're harder to defeat (and moreso, actually fight back). I do understand though that players, like yourself, prefer it as you've suggested. To that end I hope they continue to work on providing a balance of both types of enemies (& solo, 2-, 3-, & 5-player content), going forward, as well as altering content that is already in-game. 

 

As such yes, it would be great if they did a pass over ALL monster zones currently in-game, improving them gameplay- & monetary-wise where appropriate.

I prefer 1shot meta too, doing full rotations on TRASH just seems wrong and feels terrible. Imagine you be 1shotting most of the game and then boy oh boy you got 20 more AP now it takes 4ever to kill enemies and any upgrade means nothing but AT BEST 1 skill less to use in your combo.

Pirate's brings back so many fond memories of back in the day.  Best grind spot design, IMO. 

 

- It is far away compared to other grind zones, so that meant your grind sessions there were that much more meaningful.  Since, the effort just to get there makes holding your spot and defending it more "meaningful".  Although, Caracks and fast ships exist now, so going there won't take as long for those people, but the island still holds that "set apart" feel to it, and not everyone has access to a fast ship.

- You could grind it in a group or solo.  I remember going to Pirate's and looking to join groups farming main rotation -- organic player interaction.  Player finds a group, and initiates communication, "Hey, may I join you?" kind of thing.  If you couldn't find a group, you could grind any one of the numerous side rotations solo and still make the best silver per hour in the game (at the time).

- OW PvP was great here, IMO.  The "meaning" of defending your spot, or even taking one over and starting a GvG, is multiplied by the island being far away from the mainland.  On top of the fact Pirate's was the best money per hour in the game at the time, so hell yeah, people wanted to hold their spots.

The memories :')

 

If they plan on including Pirate's as part of Elvia-Calpheon, I hope they can revive those aspects of Pirate Island.
