I already see you reading all the complains about the difficulty of the new Atoraxxion expansion, because ppl are failing it on the first few days of its release...wohooo.
Some of the mechanics could be a little more forgiving but please dont make it too easy...We already have enough content which doesnt require any kind of skill and group coordination...we dont need more of this.

There have been multiple streams trying to finish the final boss, one Korean streamer streamed the boss fight failures for 18 hours straight before ending her stream never getting past the 2nd stage.  Failing the first few times is one thing, failing for 18 hours straight because all the mechanics are counter intuitive is annother thing.

 

In truth, this does happen a lot in other dungeons in other games, and no one bats an eyelid there when it does, it's accepted that these things are a learning curve. Added to this is the practical complete lack of group cohesion required for almost all content in Black Desert, which has in turn seemingly lead to an extremely underskilled player base in this regard.

 

Maybe if they're still failing in a month or two it might be an issue, but not in the first couple of weeks.

Thing is, other games have better combat mechanics. I don't know anything about this dungeon, haven't tried it or watched any streams but let's say FF14 for example, when there's a new extreme trial for a world first challenge, people will keep dying for hours until they figure out the mechanics. But, at least the combat in that game is polished unlike in BDO where it's glitchy at best, the enemy AOE/attacks are always terrible and desync is super annoying. At least in other games, you can doge an attack or move slightly to the side to avoid something by the milisecond, but in BDO no matter what you do, it's RNG on whether or not desync will happen and hit you.

On this I have to agree. Knowing the limitation of their engine, they could maybe not make everything so tight, so as to allow a margin of error for the rather often desyncs. Would also add that they do seem to love to put counterintuitive stuff in the game - as it's the case with environmental knowledge in both places. Which doesn't add neither to the joy of exploration, neither to the challenge of the fight. It adds to frustration, if anything, especially if you end up there after a long, frustrating, day at work.

Other than this though, I think BDO's on the right track with the group content.
