The Ninja Rework has been set to be revieled on  Oct 29th, 

 

I wanted to start this discussion for PA to maybe read and look into, maybe get some feedback from the not so popular Ninja players. I'm just gonna go straight into the changes I would like to see for Ninja. Keep in mind I'll only discuss changes I would think would help Ninja Awakening. I have played since the release of BDO and have only played Ninja Awakening. Feel free to respond with Ninja Succ changes you would like to see. I'll avoid Ninja succ since I don't have a lot of experience with it.

 

starting off, 

Mobility: I've noticed a lot of the new reworks have added mobility with high damage for some classes. I feel ninja and kuno classes should still be kings and queens for mobility with high burst damage. (Kuno of course needs more work in this case) The classes should still be high risk with high reward. 

 

Murderous  Intent: Please allow murderous intent to work like Black Desert Mobile(BDM), allow us to move faster accross areas while dealing damage that procs after moving. With the new classes like Nova and Hashashin, they have the ability to move twice the distance of ninja and have faster flows into damage, that are also protected. 

 

Katana Shower: This skill is only viable when you have the bon added to it, please allow this skill to be cancellable, quicker, and deal more damage, in a fast-paced fight when you fight another fighter who knows how to play the game well. Katana shower as a ninja, is suicide. Most classes will deal damage from safe distance and peel you down. Now add slows being applied by aoes(easy to land), range grabs, and katana shower becomes suicide skill. This is one of bread and butter skills along with serpent ascension. 

 

Serpent Ascension: Allow serpent to cast like a wave of energy being sent from one slash, and allow us to move after casting it. So that the ability gets actived but stays being cast in the area. This will allow us to blink in, cast serpent, and ghost step out, and the damage would be applied as if it was Damage over time(dot). It would still be the same serpent but it will allow us to go in cast, and then move out.  Compared to succ, we have a lot of locked animations,  which obviously doesnt work anymore with the new changes and classes. 

 

Drastic Measure: allow this skill to be one part animation with a blink, like the new dk obsidian ashes for dk succ. Allow it to work where we can cast it instantly while moving, allow us to cancel out of the animation if needed by sacrificing damage hits, the skill will still be unprotected while casting. Damage, please allow this skill to hurt a lot, its one of ninja iconic skills. It has a 30% accuracy, but deals very little damage for some reason compared to serpent and Katana Shower. 

 

Flow Mach Explosion: This skill needs to be aoe around ninja, and increase the range and damage. Allow it to be activated in place, and still be casted in the area. Kinda like a summon left in place for one to two seconds. But give it the aoe that BDM ninja has for afterimage flow. 

 

Seamless: Remove the bound on seamless, we're unable to use it in a combo with such mediocre damage. Increase the aoe size and damage. We use this skill for 50% of our grind, it's like our finisher for left over mobs. Or when waiting for cooldowns. 

 

Corrupt Sword Dance: Make this skill deal wayy more damage, increase the aoe size, and hits per hit. Allow it to flow from other skills faster. Its a very aesthetic pleasing skill to look at, but it does no damage and is useless for grinding and for combos. 

 

Sudden Decapitation: Make it faster, deal more damage, larger aoe, flow better from other skills. 

 

Flow Execution: This skill doesnt stand out enough, It blends in with our serpent most of the time. Make it quickslot from main hand, remove the cc, have it work like a finisher, high quick burst damage. With a aoe infront around the size of serpent, and flow from almost all of our kit. (still unprotected of course) 

 

Flashing Light: look into the backing away collision. Sometimes it blocks us in within mobs or players. 

 

Sura Chaospree: This skill is one of our  better looking skills, increase the aoe, damage, and the way he is locked in animation. It is very clunky, locks us in place, have it work like a summon in place with blades slashing in an area after casting, and animation of succ movement. 

 

Vacuum Slash: make this to another mobility skill, or remove it. Very useless, semi locked animation with a huge gap at the end. Deals little damage and is a suicide skill. Convert it to Shadow break on Black Desert Mobile. 

 

Transition Stance: Rework it be a better tool for the kit as a whole, maybe allow us to go into it while holding down rmb on certain skills instantly. Increase the speed of the animation, have it give us higher damage while using the transition stance on certain skills for going into it. Give better players the tools to push the class even further with fun mechanics. Example: Transition stance Sudden Decapitation could be less hits but, higher damage, with faster animation, for the sacrifice of going into transition stance. (Transition stance in its own, takes time out dps, so allow it to be rewarding going into it.)

Main Hand Skills

 

Ninja Evasion: this skill for awakening is asking to be cc'd. Rework it to move us further and faster so it can be a better risk/reward skill. 

 

not much to say on main hand, just want awakening mobility to be more reliable. compared to succ, awakening is almost 100% in locked animations.

Conclusion: Ninja Awakening should have better mobility and single target damage. Bring it up to par with new classes, give us the ability to stay in awakening stance for most of our combat. Fix ninja awakening mobility in the awakening kit. Allow us to move more freely while dealing damage. The class doesnt have to have the aoe of newer classes, but sacrificing the aoe allow us to "Ninja Assassinate" select targets we fight. Granted, keep the class high skill cieling, but smooth out his main hand mobility as well. The class on average requires 6 skills or more to keep on moving, new classes can cover the range with one skill or so. 

 

 

By all means, I'm open to hear everyones thoughts about the changes,  I think it would help Ninja Awakening.

I have some suggestions for the ninja rework when its turn comes up and they mainly apply to awaken ninja I dont play much in succ so I dont wont say much on that front because I dont use it enough to say what it might need. 

For awaken ninja one big thing I would like to see happen is to make comboing easier and smoother combos on awaken ninja have always felt clunky compared to succ of course I dont think anyone would disagree on that. I would like to see more smoother ways to get into and out of awaken as of right now we only have a a few ways outside of c swapping. We currently have a combo that uses a technique called ankle whiffing where basically you you put ankle cutter on cd so you can use it in a combo without affecting your cc counter. Its an unecessary complicating mechanic to have to do just to use a simple dp down skill in a combo I would highly suggest the bound be removed from ankle cutter there is literally no reason for it to be their it just doesnt have a purpose it would alleviate the need to ankle whiff and give us easier access to a powerful tool in our kit.

 

pre awaken kit on ninja has zero protected skills with cc in fact we have few protected skills in pre awaken in general and even less protected cc's the only one we have is beheading and beheading the dead's i frame is so abysmally short it might as well not even exist. Might suggestions would be for one to make the entire animation of beheading the dead an I frame So the skill can be reliable once again and that way we have a protected cc. I think giving float back to bladespin in pvp would be appropriate in theis day and age we used to have it and you guys took it away from us years ago. At the time I think it was the right choice but in this day and age where protected cc's in pre awaken kit's are prevalent I think it would be appropriate to give it back to us with that and the beheading the day change suggested above that would give us a grand total of 2 protected cc's in pre awaken still less then literally every other class but a step in the right direction.

 

I would also like to suggest reducing the cd on ghost greeting to 6 sec's so it is on the same cd as ninja step I think that would smooth out our movement rotation a bit I always found it odd that the skill was on such a long cd compared to ninja step.  I also would like to see ninja steps gaps closed up Idk why it has gaps in the first place but it does. I think we should also change ghost step to just an iframe through the whole animation instead of iframe into sa as it currently is. You may think this an excessive change but lets be real here sorc has spammable iframe teleport lahn has a spammable 1 sec iframe that literally does the same thing as ghost step and tamer also has teh same as lahn 1 sec iframe their dashes are both purely i frames and on a shorter cd then our ghost step on top of that those two classes are just as mobile as ours so I really dont see why ours cant be an iframe as well it would help us out a lot in largescale where we struggle. 

 

Another major issue that we have had for so long please for the love of god pearl abyss give us some accuracy modifiers PLEASE we have next to zero accuracy I find it crazy that sage can walk around with 30%+ accuracy at all times with one skill and add ons  completely ignoring the need to spec into accuracy accessories meanwhile you got ninja and a few other classes walking around with zero accuracy and struggling to kill evasion stackers even with accuracy accessories. Onto what to do with our sad sad awaken kit itself. Ill be honest idk what the heck to do with our awaken kit to fix it we literally have 6 skills that just see no use at all in pvp and only two of those skills really see use in pve bc they are just that bad mach explosion is legit useless in no situation pve or pvp would you ever use it other then to meme on somebody. corrupt sword dance is even more useless then mach explosion you literally never use this skill at all for any reason you could literally remove the skill from our kit and we wouldnt even notice thats how bad it is. sura chaos spree isnt terrible but you need to be able to cancel the animation as it stands right now the only place you can really use it is in pve. drastic measure once upon a time used to be a good skill but in this day and age it just doesnt do damage even as a 100% bsr skill its damage its just not there. Every other charge attack in the game does big damage when its charged and lands drastic measure however feels like a wet noodle slap. 

 

Vaccum slash is pretty much in the same boat as corrupt sword dance I know some people use this skill every now and then but in reality its useless I keep this skill locked at all times bc I just never have a use for it it doesnt do damage and the frontal guard on it is shite because it is just too short to really be useful. I think you should just remove silent cloak all together from our kit and give us a new skill I dont really see the reason to duplicate the skill just to allow us to use it in awaken. seems convoluted to me and a waste of a skill when you could simply just allow us to use pre awaken concealment regardless of what stance we are in and youll just stay in whatever stance you were in prior to using it. A plus side to this is it would help kunoichi out as well since they have the same issue you can give them a new skill as well to replace the duplicate skill. I would like to see murderous intents cd reduced to 2 sec's to match silent steps cd the reason for it is to remove the clunkiness of ninja awaken kit movement rotation. 

 

Im sure some people will disagree with my suggestions and thats fine but I love my class and I would like to see it get the rework it deserves the same as all the other classes. Thats all I have for now if I think of more Ill update the post thanks for reading and taking into consideration my suggestions. to sum it all up we need more protected cc's and more protections in general our ability to trade damage and fish for cc in awaken is kinda poop compared to a lot of classes.

ninja awaken needs more then just damage. in fact we dont even need more damage our damage is actually really high the problem is we lack accuracy heavily and i do mean heavily. if they just gave us some accuracy modifiers that are literally non existant in our kit our damage would be fine, it is not a lack of damage its a lack of accuracy that is our issue on that particular point. you are correct on our mobility compared to all the new classes and even some of the older ones our mobility is not that great like yea sure we have good burst mobilty over short distances but we do not have good long distance movement at all. not to mention severely lack protections to deal with largescale fights and we lack protected cc's to help bring us up in that area as well. outside of bon katana shower or 50% bsr katana shower we literally have no protected cc's you cant even count beheading bc the i frame on it is so short its almost non existant not to mention the fact that the skill is slow and the protection is only activated once we disappear so the beginning and the end is un protected and we have to use smoke bomb just to cover up the back end of the animation aka use another skill just to make up for the crappy  I frame beheading has had ever since they removed the lingering SA from it years ago.

I read all that above, agreeing partly here in my suggestions.

 

Here are my suggestions, from an awakened Ninja's perspective, playing since its release:

 

Ankle Cutter: Remove CC because it complicates combos.
Beheading the Dead: give Iframe to have a protected CC, which isnt too strong since its slow.
Black Moonlight: Give More DMG.
Blade Spin: Give CC to have a protected CC. Its the signature move of the kit and its just used for weaponswitch currently.
Ghost Greeting: reduce Cooldown for more Movement options.
Ground Thrust: sorry but who uses that skill? its unfortunate.
Heart Aiming: Please please please for chris sake reduce the cooldown. its needed.
Shadow Slash: Add slightly more range for Movement, and maybe make it SA on cooldown.
Shuriken Malice: add bleeding DOT.
Shuriken Throw: Why on earth has a throw of my shuriken to drain my whole stamina in 2,5 seconds? If i am happen to be an insane Ninja, i cant be down to 0 stamina after just throwing a shuriken 3 times. Please fix and buff DMG.
Corrupt Sword Dance: Add Burning instead of bleeding. To build a more diversive DOT-debuff mechanic into the Skillkit allaround.
Block Jump: reduce cooldown.
Kick Down: would actually be useable if it wouldnt be have to be used after Ninja Evasion which is UNFORTUNATELY unprotected :(.
Mach Explosion: too slow
Ghost Step: desperately needs more range. Like Hasha. Its basically an useless Iframe which is only used to cancel skills. Its iframe is way too short in animation to make an protective-effect. Its range is not enough to actually dodge attacks/aoe's. Buff it.
Murderous Intent: Needs SA, but without the lingering.
Ninja Evasion: give SA. It is unuseable in PVP, especially in group fights. People have to lock this skill for pvp. Its so sad because Ninja lags movement so bad.
Ninja Step: Let us move it twice in a row on CD like on hasha the w + f (awakening). This is basically the only skill Ninja has to move around, especially in awakening with an unprotected Murderous Intent. You are fucked after you used it in grp fights because the range is only good for 1vs1 basically.
Concealment: Reduce stamina consume ofc.
Seamless: back in the days the first hit was Frontblock, and the rest was unprotected as it is now. These were the good days, because you had to time it right, it took skill to take an advantage of that frontblock. I miss these days.
Smokescreen: reduce the cooldown.

Q-Block (awakening): Reduce the Block-Stun. It is unuseable in pvp bc you are stuck for 4 seconds when you got hit.

Also please add a way to directly switch from pre-awakening to awakening using some skills. It complements the fluidity and interaction of both weapons.

AND PLEASE: give the awakening kit a Frontblock while walking backwards LIKE EVERYOTHER CLASS HAS. I get that you cant block with a shuriken, but when you carry 6 katanas, you should be able to block. i mean look at musa...or striker who blocks hit WITH HIS FISTS.

 

The rest of the skillkit is fine. I Love Ninja Awakening. Please make it viable again against all the movement beasts who permanently spam their SA rotations while CCing you. Ninja currently is a great 1on1 class, but heavily lags performance in gruop pvp and large scale. you are literally forced to suicide-bomb.

crazy assassin ideas! they could rework pvp damage for some time when getting out of stealth to make it just cc positioning tool, not i win button without chance fo enmy to react OR make it actual single target assassin and remove some aoes in pvp.
