The real problem going to come at the start of next year with Lost Ark.

New World pretty much does what was expected. It will going to lose 80% of the players in the first few months. But the only reason why LA ain't released yet, despite translation is mostly done since a half year is so Amazon ain't create a competitor for their own game. By the time NW dies out, they launch LA to take up the players. (And Asmon and the other streamers copying him will go there aswell.) Amazon is good at marketing (unlike game making kek)

Not many players will going to leave for FF14 imo, since that game is better anyway, why would you also paly with bdo? BDO is not a game where you can reach much with half assed play anyway.

By the way there will be some GW2 expansions aswell as I hear'd but idk.

And don't forget Ellyon releasing soon, and while that is a recycled dead game by Kakao, that will be Pay to Convenience like bdo is...

And while bdo not going to get new content, it ain't got one since ages anyway, at this point noone expect content.

Class reworks will probably be the last chance before uninstall for many that is true, but from what we see, it's futile to expect much. They probably squazze out those reworks untill the end of october, then release 90% of it as they are within 2weeks and be done with ballancing for the next year or two as usual.

Anyway with this week patch the free PEN will hit(unless they delay it even more), so some players will going to chase those for sure as "content".

The Real problem of BDO is the lack of the competetive  end game pvp and challenging end game pve (no running like a damn hamster in around a fer group of elvia orks ist a good end game pvp).  And when i look at reworks PA wont balance it. They will only create more flustration in a players that main classes reworked poorly or excluded from rework. For example succesion sage needs that much more than striker....

Those activities shall be good income vise too...And PA fails to notice it...

So I end this whole piece with.... Is Pearl Abyss prepared for November's exodus? If so, what are they brining to the table?

Well, Pearl Abyss have roughly implemented half to three-quarters of what was spoken about by Jae-hee Kim, the Executive Producer in their letter to players approximately 6 weeks ago. So one would assume PA would continue to work on the remaining outlined. They shouldn't worry too much about other games and what their release cadence is etc. etc., that's largely only a recipe for disaster and would only serve to turn their own game into a muddled-mess. Stick to long-term plans and see them through.

BDO in its current state needs quite a bit of polish, PA acknowledges this themselves. Let's hope they stay true to their word and tidy up what is released before again 'looking forward, much like a racehorse', to use Jae-hee's own words.

I never said shadowbringer had killed BDO or endwalker will, I was just asking if BDO is ready to compete with it because like it or not, it's going to be a big release and it will affect BDO one way or another. I know when I played FF14 I left BDO until I was told to activate it under PA because kakao was losing publishing rights. I never looked back but I wanted to see what was new and after years of leaving, not much was added to BDO. Now that the accounts have been "saved" and there are now many options in sight, will be people leave and never come back? Will they just leave temporarily? It doesn't seem like much of a big deal to some here but BDO has almost no population to begin with and most are AFK while playing other games. Is this really a MMORPG or is this just a AFK simulator? How is PA planning to address the AFK sim and make the game more engaging / interesting for players to return after they leave next month?

bdo was like this since start. They can't - and probably not even want - to change it. It's basically a mobile game on PC, and those games are exactly like this.

That saved accounts... there was a guy on this forum who used PA's own adventurer finder or what to get all the transfered accounts. It wasn't even a million... Most from that 20m plyers they claim they have just downloaded the game once, left and never looked back.

Anyway acording to steam the pop is at the lowest since PA takeover. Probably with the free PEN patch it will jump up a little though.

LOL, not a single one of the games mentioned here have what EVERYONE I'm friends with play the game for. Combat. Sure some might jump ship, but PA knows they have a diamond in the rough. Most ppl will stay, because no other MMO has even come close to the type of combat most of us stick around for.
