I have noted a lot of requests for Black Stone (armor) at 200K.  When I started playing this last spring there was no shortage of players selling them below this price.  I asked in chat and everyone acted like it was common knowledge, supply versus demand, or this has alway been the standard.  I don't understand the sudden need causing them to spike, but ever since they started trading at 200K each, I just blow energy at the black market vendor, who sells them in a x5 bundle for 600K (CM market value of 1 million).

On the other hand, I have noted other Central Market items that sell very low and with very little processing are worth six times their amount.  I have often wondered how the CM set these prices.  Nothing seems to be in balance, but I feel I should just be thankful for my profits.  I will attempt to fill as many orders as I can for Black Stone requests.  My current energy per character is just above 200 each, that is about 4 trips per character and the man is somewhat random.  I did get all 20 black stone on one character yesterday.  Then I use the bed to AFK sleep for a few hours.

The guaranteed pen accessory asks for 18k black stones in its creation and since the armor ones are cheaper they will be bought out first.

The money you make from selling 20 blackstones obtained from the night vendor is just insignificant in todays BDO thats why other ppl dont do it. You buy 4x bundles for 2,4mil and obtain 3,4mil after tax for selling them while players with beginner gear can make 100-200mil silver per day using their daily agris energy grinding mobs in easy Valencia spots.

Yeah what op making isn't a good way to earn profit, as without vp he earns 50k on each boundle roll (which is not guarantated) for 50 energy.

Meanwhile he could just smash his energy into potions and sell 200energy for 2.6m (after tax) so 650k/50energy.

The only situation where this makes sense if u need some item from the night vendor and take those blackstones as u roll them.

Who needs energy potions?  I have a bed.

18,000 black stones... that is a lot of trips.  I guess I will just use that dust to convert them into caphras stones.  Where is a person going to grind out 18,000 black stones to make an earring or necklace?   Is there some monster in the game made of black stones and every time you land a good hit, he drops a few hundred?  I won't bother making something that silly, I don't care if the pen accessory tastes like chocolate.  They can keep it.

Scroll bosses drop Hunter's Seal that can be exchanged for blackstones.

Theres also zones that drop a few hundred blackstones if you grind there a few hours aswell as the new bundles that gives 25-50 blackstones each.

And theres ofc the black spirit adventure and all the events that supplies a steady stream of them.

Theres plenty of sources to obtain blackstones nowadays and the night vendor just happens to be a one of the worst.

Ah! So they do have monsters made of Black Stones!

Seriously thank you for all your answers, I thought I was assisting the community by selling off my Black Stones.  I will return to making caphras stones out of them.  I don't upgrade my equipment anymore. I just get the gear offered or purchase it directly from players selling theirs in the CM.  I am more into character appearance than power, I would rather die and leave a good looking corpse.

Market providers definitely help the community. For example, they allow some players to not grind around 11k blackstones worth of mobs in order to make their crafted PEN accessory.
