As of this patch, I'm having an issue where going somewhere between Velia and the different bartering islands I'm consistently getting my FPS dropped from ~130 to ~50. Upon character select the FPS returns to normal, but there must be a certain location around Velia where it tanks the FPS for some reason.

Also having the same problem. Don't think around Velia is what triggers it as I haven't been to Velia since patch. Also feel the longer I don't refresh my fps by logging into other character, the lower it goes.

Getting it in multiple places; not just big towns.  Sometimes requires me to close out and restart to get normal FPS once it starts.

I am getting gradual but constant fps drop everywhere...i need to restart every 4 hours. Doing anything afk is risky for me, yikes.

i7 8800k, 32gb memory, m.2 nvme, nvidia 2060 super, internet is always solid 1200/1200 fiber line.

ran fine before patch, others in guild have noticed the same fps drop over time.

I noticed this as well- it's not an instant drop from my usual 144, but a slow gradual loss like 10 fps at a time that doesnt recover.

I too am having problems with FPS. Yesterday, I did 3 hours on a training dummy. My frames when I started were at the usual 60, when I came back 3 hours later they were at 20fps. Also I horse train overnight on a regular basis and my frames usually drop to 20 or 30, but last night they dropped to 1. It was so slow and choppy, it took me a good 5 minutes to exit the game so I could reset the fps. I never had this much trouble with frame drops before yesterdays patch.

Edit: Don't think it's just Velia as I was in Altinova for the dummy training and Calpheon for horse training.

I had the same issue last night.  Switched characters and that seemed to fix it.  I let it AFK fish over night, and woke up this morning to extreme slowness.  Managed to (slowly) get into settings to check FPS, and it was 3!  Restarted the game and it was fine.

I concur with those above, was grinding at Tshira after maintenance was done and after about 2 or 3 hrs suddenly started losing FPS, a steady drop from my usually maintained 60 FPS  until i was down to around 18 FPS and it became to much to grind.  Rebooted game, was fine for a few hours, did some Alchemy afk overnight in my residence, awoke to what must have been 1 FPS..could not get to check in settings as frame rate was unbearable.

Have never  had this issue before, has occured since maintenance  so something is causing it...be it the new Progression system or Marni's Halloween event or some other cause....just a bit relieved i suppose in knowing that its a general issue and not just me.
