Slightly off-topic...

All the mainstream MMOs forums are filled asking about player numbers.  The players are being pulled away (this month) by the new shiny MMO by Amazon, New World.  I already stated somewhere on these forums, I just don't care for it.  It is not "fantasy based" enough to even call it a fantasy MMO.  I would call it a life sim but low end fantasy.  I didn't care for the character creation at all.  My spouse works for Amazon ... thus paid to love it.  It is not for me, it will not be for everyone.  Give the players ten minutes or 6 months to kick the tires on it, they will return here.

Meanwhile, have fun!

People are already burnt from new world already and its flaws are being revealed pretty quick. I didn't play because I have a 3080RTX and I hear they can catch on fire (literally). The numbers are dwindling fast since the queue time was atrocious and people don't want to wait a literal day in line or join a temporary server where their friends are not on so ... The hype is dying and by the time Endwalkers comes out, few will remain. People will go to the next hype (obviously FF) until that hype dies down a few months later and people will be scattered everywhere again. BDO has until the FF hype that dies down to turn things around. Hopefully they will but if we could only use the Halloween event as an indicator on how well they're doing, I'd say they're struggling. A day late and a broken event that doesn't seem to have been tested. lol

... Or we could also use it as an indicator that they barely pay attention to it, that's the same rambling every year.

I like this event. I like the haunted house, its not that difficult if you are patient.

Ofc those tryhards want to get back to their boring grind spots asap, they cannot appreciate the little things, which casual players enjoy.

If you look at my character list. You will see I am the farthest from a Tryhard.
I grind maybe one time a week. I use BDO as a Sims 5 simulator. I play dress up. I whale on costumes.

My initial point still stands. I have not been back to the event since the very first post.  It is over complicated without having to be.
Holiday events are supposed to be light hearteded and fun. Not a chore.

Is it just me or did they fix(break) the only way to make the Hall of Horrors remotely enjoyable and playable in the last patch?

Or has no one bothered to go back In this week?

As with most of their events I never even bothered to go once. I have been working my way through the progression system which is actually fun.

The weekly quests where I open a box and get dice are good. The mini games aren't really fun, more frustrating if anything. Weekly is so much better than daily, that is fatigue

I stopped caring or doing this game's events a year ago. There never worth doing because there mostly just boring ass "give me 10 beer and I'll give you 1 event coin" than you get like 100 event coins and turn them in for an RNG box that has a 99% chance to give you useless items that you'll just vendor. Literally don't waste my time on these events, sounds like they made this one more interactive, but I just don't care about this game's events anymore. And I didn't even bother to see what the rewards are for this event because I'm sure its safe to assume there not worth my time. Fact is PA has no idea how to make fun, unique, or enjoyable events, and they sure as hell don't reward us for partaking in them either, the result all event items now fill up my trash bin.

I made all quests yesterday. 4 tries for the spooky house, 1rst try for Red Light Green Light. I don't know if I even spend 1 hour for the whole thing, and we shared tips between players in the spooky house ("hey dude, the chest of the second room is on the left").

For sure, it took more time last week, the time to learn the patterns and "taming" controls, but all in all these events are simple and far more interesting than the plain "gimme 10 beers for an event coin" like someone mentioned.

So your initial point does not stand. From the start. You spent 20 minutes then complained.

Moreover, if you correctly stop moving BEFORE she stops singing in the RLGL game, the cursor is much more stable and you have much time to either press up/down or clic left/right.

But hey, it seems easier to complain than really try, right? Even if PA has a furious trend to fail most of the events, this time you're all whining for a PEBKAC situation.

The number of participants in this topic blaming the event while also saying they barely tried it or even didn't even bother is quite impressive.

IMO it stinks.

I spent a total of 20 minutes there.

Did red light green light, failed to move 10 feet without being thrown out of the machine. Did not finish
Did the haunted house, that was a joke. Did not finish.

Not trying the other things.

Is it just me or does it feel like BDO's days are winding down ?

Personally I didnt even attempt it. Didnt even bother to stop by the area either. The first event I ever did seriously was the recent termian beach one. So in cessation, I have no real opinion on the event other than the fact I could care less about it.
