i don't think it was too great for new players, I did hunting for the first time and it was horrible.

It's a shame you didn't enjoy it. I think hunting is far and away the best developed lifeskill in the game. No other has a story arc woven through it that basically takes you from Beginner to Artisan whilst sending you around the world - introducing you to a lot of places where hunting can take place - etc etc. I wish all lifeskills were similarly developed.
On topic; I agree, the Progress Pass is nice addition to the game. I hope they expand on it, and perhaps implement a similar style window for the main storyline etc etc. They could develop it to a point where you could have a small link to it showing players the various possibilities in-game instead of that horrendous continual pop-up we all get post level 50 to 56 currently. A lot of good could come in the future building upon the basic framework they have there.
IMHO it was not only about rewards but also tangibility of progress and way to show divesity of activities that you can (not have to) perform. It's quite useful for these who can't make their own path in such game and require guidance. Better than giving things for free for sure.

Hunting is trash in this game.
Yeah it have a questline, I give a point for that, but the activity itself isn't fun or good.

Yeah, a perfect noob bait, which will lead the inexperienced players into the worthless, obsolate content. And then they wonder why they don't progress anywhere kek.
