Pa trying to kill the game?

I find the class rework hilarious. PA has applied one bandage after another for reworking classes for years now. The more they do rework, the more classes keep outpacing each other.

I think there is a reason for this: would people really bother with rerolling if old favored classes were equal to or better than the new ones? I doubt it.

New classes generate revenue, why would PA disrupt that cash cow? I certainly wouldn't do it and I am a customer.

That aside, I would be happy with more protection and damage number boosts on musa or old classes to match the newer classes. That's number tweaking that can be done a day at a time.

I am not sure why we need months of reworking classes. By the time that's done, a new stronger class comes out...and we are back to square ducking one.

Hilarious.

Game is beyond repair.  Time for BDO Mobile PC version and call it BDO Unleashed.  In the meantime, thank god FFXIV and GW2 expansions are coming out lol.  The last time we had new content for BDO was March 3, 2021 which was the release of Hadum grind zones.

I am still enjoying the game and honestly i don't need "new" content.

Game is far from being dead and only a handfull AFK-ers that actually post here are miss representing BDO players.

Same here, I don't see how anyone can call the game "dead" when I can;

1. Login to the game.

2. See other people playing.

3. Find other people to play with online.

All of the game forums are griefing about the loss of players.  The only reason for this is a new shiney toy is sitting in the corner of the room.  When they get done playing with it they return to their other toys.  The new toy last month was New World and there will be another new toy next month.  It is just human nature.

BTW about New World, for those who brought it up.

My spouse, who works for Amazon, told me the New World "project" main purpose was to showcase the Lumberyard.  The real source of income is to  sell services for Lumberyard to other game companies.  I wouldn't expect them putting in a lot of effort on something they sold you for $50.  They made their money by selling you a base game, you will just end up crabbing about it months down the road, when the content dries up and blows away or they end up billing you more cash for an expansion pack.

Now go play something and have fun!

No point complaining though they will do what they think is best like the new pen system that many casuals will start but likely leave soon after they make one of them after realising its still a huge time sink just made more complicated than buying from mp.

I'm a new player and this is exactly how I feel about the game, to the point of quitting. I got hyped because I thought I could get good gear to catch up with the rest of the playerbase, but the powercreep just cannot be bridged.

I realise that just getting one pen piece will take billions and several 10s of hours to grind the mats, it's basically easier to buy pen gear from the market. However, getting good gear requires at least 100 billion silver, which would take years to grind.

Vets claim it's ez pz to make 200-300k per hour, but that is AFTER you get good gear, which requires billions in investment. The average player simply cannot pull these numbers so will just get left behind.

Furthermore, we are unable to grind good spotas because we literally get kicked out by geared players who want all the silver for themselves and can't share. As such catching up becomes even more difficult.

After hitting this dead-end, I started life-skilling, but even that requires billions.

Meanwhile in other games you hop on and get fully geared in less than a week and immediately are able to compete with other players.

A week is more of a stretch in most non-Cash Shop power based MMOs. But instead of needing thousands of hours to catch up like here. In popular MMOs you only need like 60 to 200 hours to be competitive gear and level wise.

The best summary of why up to 90% of new players leave in the first or second month of the game: no visible progress, griefing by long-time players.

An the thing to note most of the people that defend the snail pass progression in this game justify it by saying there would be nothing else to do in the game if gearing was easier. Well ya, but that just shows the game's overall flawed design, take away the gearing system an what is there to do in BDO? Mass kill the same brain dead unchallenging AI, or set the game in life skill auto-pilot mode an let it play its self. The fact that people only play this game with the hope that they'll reach max lvl BIS gear some day as a non whale player, I say good luck to that. People have been trying to obtain max lvl BIS gear for 6 years now unsuccessfully.
