That's all fine and good but for the book he needs to die, so you still need to somehow organize like 100 people which isn't reasonable. I heard you could kill it with about 20 people but it'll take like 3hrs. Good luck if it despawns after 2hrs though :P
The book says "kill" but the completion of the chapter 6 objective is triggered by getting loot. Kill or despawn does not matter, only the looting. He will despawn after 15 mins, you just need to do damage to him before the 15 minutes are up.
The 100 people and hours to kill is regarding the Mutant Troll that is nearby on Quint Hill, not the twice a week Quint boss.

coming to this in 2023 and this quest does actually need to be removed from the books its extreamly annoying and difficult for no reason. im going thru my adventure log for the first time and im blocked from finishing the books and moving on until this boss spawns and that is just dumb change it to a boss you can activate and spawn yourself so it not reliante on a world boss timer or anything else that doesnt enchance the progresssion of your character in this game

This boss does not spawn at all any more.. there is no timer for him in any of the sites that track it. THIS NEEDS TO BE CHANGED ASAP
