I've been playing Lahn since I've started this game and Lahn Succ since release. My experiences with the class are mainly 1v1s with friends, PvE, and gathering, so I'll talk about what I'd like to see changed in all 3.

Gathering (Tshira gathering specifically)

This is first because I only have 1 suggestion for this.

1. Spring Breeze (unheld version) into Morning Dew's hitbox is odd, and even after literal hours of aiming at a certain snake, I still don't know the hitbox and why it fails some 30% of the time. Making the hitbox more clear would be nice, but you can just put that up to my lack of skill. It doesn't matter to me. The most frustrating part of a whiff is the part where I just fall down from the sky like a loser. It sucks. Even after a whiff, please make it so that Spring Breeze (unheld) intoi Morning Dew does the dash.

PvE and 1v1s

Succ Lahn has 4 viable DPS skills (Blade Dance, Blooming Nether Flower, Cymbidium, and Crescent Barrage), with most players only using 3, due to Crescent Barrage only being better than Blade Dance when one can perform down attacks or when one is low on HP. Compare that to Awak Lahn, who has 6 DPS skills and 3 useful flows. Awak Lahn's PvE and PvP gameplay is just more interesting

Not including flows, which are all useless in Succession (hilariously, awak lahn uses pre-awak flows more than succ), Succ Lahn has 3 entirely useless skills and Prime: Bleeding Hearts, which for some reason was buffed despite players only ever using it to pull mobs. With the rework of Blood Moon Twist and Eradication, Lahn's awakening kit has 0 useless skills (Earthly Pain is used to give a quick DP debuff in PvP comboes).

Let's go over the useless skills:

Catasetum: this skill is an unprotected cc with small damage and a small AoE. It also has a long animation. Eye of the Phoenix, which is actually used in PvE to proc addons, is an unprotected cc with small damage and a small AoE. However, it has a fast animation and flows from everything. In order to make Catasetum useful without making Eye of the Phoenix obsolete, Catasetum needs to have a different niche. Here's something that Succ Lahn doesn't have: a short skill that does a decent amount of damage. Think Awak Lahn's Flow: Vice, except less overtuned on the damage numbers. Give Succ Lahn a way to finish off low hp enemies without being locked into a long-ass animation or wasting your Salp'uri CD. It would also be nice to fit this in PvP comboes. Increase the damage, hasten the animation, and remove the CC.

Berated Ghost: this skill is unprotected, does almost no damage, and has a tiny AoE. The only thing special about this skill is that, after 6 hits (each taking a second or so), the skill flows into Crescent Barrage and by extention, Fragrant Stigma. You know what would be cool? Making Berated Ghost a PvE only vacuum. Imagine pulling some unsuspecting mobs in and instantly goomba stomping them to death. It's good for gatherers, and it's good for low-end PvE. Another thing one can consider is making the vacuum work in PvP, too. Having a SA vaccum that pulls into a SA bound + 10% movement speed slow sounds pretty powerful and might even make up for Succ Lahn's lack of a grab. Make it a SA, change the skill into a vaccum (maybe PvE only), and have it instantly flow into Crescent Barrage.

Soul Ascent: this skill is an unprotected stiffen with small damage and a small AoE. I think I'm seeing a pattern here. Honestly, just increase the damage, speed up the animation, increase the AoE, and let it be used from hotbar by Awak, and people would start using it in their comboes due to it being a rare stiffen in Lahn's kit, especially since Awak Lahn's rework is getting rid of Taunting Death's PvP stiffen.

Prime: Bleeding Hearts: I'm not entirely sure why this skill does half the damage of the awakening version and doesn't have the DP debuff. If they'd just make it equal to the awakening version, we'd see this be used more often. Or change it to Deadly Dance or Bridled Despair. It's Lahnmower, not Lahn-throw-your-pedulum.

Now, let's look at the flows.

Succession: Flow: Pendulum Kick: No, that's not a typo. Succession Lahn has a different version of Absolute: Pendulum Kick II, which is the upgrade version of Flow: Pendulum Kick II. You probably didn't know this because Flow: Pendulum Kick is so useless. First of all, Pendulum Kick is hardly used in PvE, except to apply addons. Many Lahns even use Absolute: Pendulum Kick because it flows instantly into Cymbidium. Do you know what else flows into Cymbidium instantly? Yes, Flow: Pendulum Kick, which can be added to the hotbar. Let Lahns be able to proc tier 2 addons with Flow: Pendulum Kick, increase the AoE, and add a cooldown (Flow: Pendulum Kick has no CD). That way Prime: Pendulum Kick can be buffed into a viable DPS option, and the Lahns who use Absolute: Pendulum Kick can still keep the same gameplay combo, while still being able to use Prime: Pendulum Kick.

Cymbidium Flows:

>Flows can only be activated during Cymbidium's animation

>PA makes Cymbidium's last hit do the most damage

>Nobody uses Cymbidium's flows

>surprisedpikachuface.jpg

Buff the damage and AoE of Coax (it's the only one without a CC), and let Coax, Deadly Restraint, and Three Point Stipple be hotbarred and used during and after Cymbidium.

Deadly Restraint and Three Point Stipple are both FG (which Succ Lahn doesn't have much of) and CCs. And Succ Lahn has very few reliable protected CCs.

After all that, make Blooming Nether Flower, Cymbidium, Blade Dance, Crescent Barrage, Pendulum Kick, and the borrowed awakening skill do about the same DPS in PvE, preferably less than the current Blooming Nether Flower because Succ Lahn does too much damage in PvE as it is now.

Done. Succ Lahn is more interesting in PvE, has more tools in PvP, and I don't cry when I whiff Morning Dew on that stupid snake next to the marmots.
