Everything has an expiration date.  The players who started this game before us are not being selfish, they are tired of the game being stuck in the mud.  Chocolate is good but after being locked in a closet full of chocolate bars... I think you might get the idea.  Who knows what will replace it, but I assure you, there will be something else.  I started here with nothing six months ago, if you play the game you can make billions in silver.  Most of my silver when I first started was from farming, many various items sell well on the CM.  If you are spending cash here I recommend the value pack (VP) otherwise you can still get a one day VP for loyalty rewards. Logging in for 2 weeks will get you one day of VP.  Bank the items for immediate sale and sell others but don't collect on the sale.  Then on the day you activate the VP sell everything banked and collect the sold items for +30% more silver.   Players who want to pull the handle on a jackpot machine and play the game like it is pachinko, are the ones being selfish.

whats your point`? the game hides this shit. even if they get full c20 pen gear they still won't know how dr dp evasion works, cuz game doesn't tell them THEY HAVE TO ASK IF THEY EVER FIND OUT IT EXISTS

In my opinion, the oasis event fixed some problems in the game.

1) Not having a map in the desert/ocean is simply not fun.

The desert heatstroke/hypothermia is also not fun. I'm assuming the new snow region would have a similar idea which I would also consider as not fun.

Annoyances are not fun and BDO is not a survival game like ARC or Conan Exiles afterall.

My concern is for these annoyances that will now be re-introduced. Generally speaking, less annoyances = more happy customer base.

Oasis or not, lets just get rid of these annoyances once and for all and make the game more fun. 

Great, how long will you be collecting 900 billion for end game gear? 10 years or 15?

I am a new player, started in March, and have only played during the Oasis Event, I don't plan to leave just because it ends.  Here are my thoughts on the above items, from a new player perspective.

1- These are in my banks... haven't used them. I won't miss them, if they disappear.  I mostly work those Rift bosses and they are tough enough.

2- Compass N/A not doing the desert or oceans yet.  Maps (teleport) I have used these very rarely mostly because they do not teleport your mount.

3- N/A see above

4- There is always free stuff, you get it from daily login rewards.

5- Better carrots can be purchased in the CM or grown for your mounts.  Also I cannot store (share) the carrots in my family storage.  I cook so I can make meals.

6-  Yes. I will miss this gear, but I have my old gear looking real sweet sitting there in the bank.  I will be dusting it off soon.

The people saying the event shouldn't go away are looking at such a tiny aspect of residule income.  Please read page #1  where I define EVENT to those of you who don't comprehend this action.  Go play the game and have fun!

I started playing last year while this event was going on. after watching PLENTY of videos in understanding how the game is without the free stuff, i made preparations while taking advantage of the goodies. Now given, I anticipated the event ending last year around the end of december, it didnt happen, but i continued saying the day is coming, so where im at now. some of my characters are unfortunately still in oasis gear, but that will change soon enough, meanwhile my main few are out of oasis gear, and can get around effiently enough. the only thing im lacking in is farming which i could really use a surplus of blue grade carrots.

Judging descriptions on the items, existing / unboxed oasis gear is not going away, only the item effects are.  Still ok basic gear.  One could open a bunch of armor boxes and store the results.  And for weapons, could cycle classes through a spare character slot if you have one and open weapons boxes for each class and store those too. Not that I'm recommending it, and there's nothing to prevent PA from deciding to remove the gear altogether.

As for the rest - I make use of compass, meals, and carrots.  Maybe the markets will catch up with those last two, but compass options are limited.  Moving without a map will just waste time as it will be less precise navigation.  Some destinations are easy without a map.  Some I have trouble getting to even with a map (it's a me thing).

Teleports / maps: limited use, sometimes solve the stuck-in-landscape issue when nothing else can. Oasis scrolls: the market is already short of mem frags.  Desert sicknesses: have to find tea, or the ingredients.

Which leads to: the market dried up for everything related to oasis items almost the instant the announcement was made.  Not just end products, but raw materials.  I don't have a problem with markets, I do have a problem with complete unavailability. So, to that end:

Keep Ellie around.  Without shop items she'd be unemployed.  And Fughar needs the company.  Just get rid of the one-silver prices.  There could be reasonable prices that do not interfere with the underlying market.

Compasses are the worst in terms of supply / cost.  That seems unreasonable.  But it does seem the game's position with these is that they are a luxury, and not intended to be necessary to get around.

The alternative perspectives here all have some merit.  In the end though, it's the publisher's game, and so far I'm ok with playing whatever they have provided.  Feedback is all well and good, but most things ruled by committee don't end well.
