Just like with all underwear in the game, you wouldn't even be able to see Shai without armor outside of character creation and residences, but that's not the point.  I have to disagree with you about the "media field day."  I don't think anybody would even care because nothing sexual or inappropriate is happening.

I have said this before, but the Korean version of the Shai is fine.  It's not lingerie or bikini underwear.  It's not skimpy at all.  I've seen more revealing outfits in The Sims and nobody is complaining about that.  Those youtubers you mentioned would not even waste their time.

I'm all up for fixing model clipping and so on in regards to modeling issues...  But I'm definitely not okay with full removal of censorship. I am strongly against pedos and their sickening agenda. IMO sports shorts may work without being revealing for the masked parade that will do and say anything they can to hide the fact that they just want to be creepy. I believe the word you're looking for is Lolicons. Loli=/=Child don't appeal to fiction. How would playing Shai ruin it for the rest of the public exactly? Other games like FF14, Blade and soul, Tera etc never had any issues regarding government regulations and we are far past that stage when UN tried to ban anime back in 2019 and failed miserably.

It's not playing shai that would be an issue, it's the people that would take their time to post questionable content out for the public directly from the game (like any other game) that would raise red flag. Secondly, we are far from being done with the stage with governmental regulations in video games, as I type this there are legal-policies being sanctioned on certain contents in games. And not just NA but in countries like Germany (refering to loot boxes). Shai has nothing to do with pedophilia and it doesn't encourage anyone to become pedophile. Ppl that are actually pedophiles are not twisted to that form because of uncensored version of Shai. Pedophilia has existed since dawn of man and different era has different philosophies what is considered as pedophilia.

There is absolutely nothing wrong to offer players on/off toggle for Shai censorship. This is perfect solution which allowes players who want censorship to use it and those who prefer original can do so and it has no impact on your own gameplay in anyway.

Also your world view is very narrow. For example in Japan age of 13 is allowed age to give consent for sex. In my country this is 16. Some countries its 18. Some countries ban child like hentai and some don't. In my country only form of art that is considered against law is realistic sexual related childs any cartoonish isn't considered against law in anyway. These are purely things that set of ppl have decided and have nothing to do with your or mine point of view but we follow those rules / laws.
