I didn't realize Pearl Abyss allowed pedophiles on their gaming platform. Isn't this against their "Operational Policy." This entire thread is disgusting.

We want equality on NA/EU servers, we're not asking for anything crazy, we just want equal treatment that other regions are getting. I don't agree with people that want slightly "less" or "shorter" pajamas so it wouldn't ruin the outfit. Problem with this argument is that it's still not equal treatment that other servers got. There's no argument against this and anyone who opposes this is using weak adhoms and empty insults that fall flat on their face in any philosophy debate/discussion. Also there's nothing wrong with looking at your character in any desired way and any argument against it is simply accusing this said individual of a thought crime, which nobody is guilty of. At the end of the day weak fragile humans with no strongly developed ideology will always be afraid of individualism and true self expression. As Friedrich Nietzsche referred to these type of people as "untermensch" the weak minded ones who want to censor art, human ideas and expression because they are afraid of it, afraid of humanity afraid of other's ideology. They fear true expression of one's thoughts and feelings.

Pretty sure if PA removed Shai leggings, YouTube would have a field day on Pearl Abyss.
Dudes like KiraTV, Yongyea, absolutely tearing PA a new one and ripping into the new one with reckless abandon if they made little loli shai more revealing. This is western market. Something to keep in mind. We aren't the asian market, where they show toddler-looking anime girls in skimpy outfits regularly. In the west, we protect our kids' innocence at all cost.

They wouldn't care, if they do why would you care about someone who supports inequality and if you're so afraid and insecure about someone's opinion maybe you shouldn't be using the internet. Western market has had access to eastern market and media for a long time and other mmos like FF14 never had any issues. Your own fault for using appeal to fiction and falsely equating 2 different things.

I think there is a misunderstanding here.
The uncensored korean version does have some extra outfits that never released in the NA/EU edition but they are modest as the rest of the shai outfits are. There are no bra or panties to be found, no one is asking for a naked shai either. Every other class is very slutty but Shai remains the only modest class. How is it modest in Korea if it's uncensored? It doesn't have leggings, instead shai have shorts or clothes that work with the outfit.
The NA/EU version is clip-heavy and very ugly to look at. Think of it like how pop-ins annoy people. For people who main shai, or enjoy playing as a shai, the clipping is a bother just like the pop-ins except it's continuous. But, it extends to the point that the pants are ugly as can be. They could have at least make it cute.
We're not asking for shai to wear bra and panties, we just want shai to look good like they do in the korean version. No ugly leggings that clip through clothes all the time. BUT a solution to this would be if PA said we can use the character game files from the korean version and be done with it. That way, everyone is happy.
Every other class character model isn't designed to look like a child. That's the biggest factor, IMO, that I do not think Western Culture, in general, would accept. In my mind, I am imagining popular YouTubers, like KiraTV and Yongyea, who create content around "controversial" matters when it comes to video games, absolutely crushing PA, highly criticising them, in the most negative light.
BDO already has a negative stigma among many in the MMORPG community. This will only create more.
As for the clipping, yes, graphical bugs need to be ironed out. About Shai leggings, however, it appears PA is holding strong on their decision to implement the leggings. Again, Western Culture...PA would get demolished by media if they did this. Just a guess, but I'm pretty confident in that. We need as much good press as we can....P2W, and even the latest Bugatii collab causes controversy.
Imagine what kind of controversy this would create. People in this thread are throwing out words like "pedo" and "FBI" already...imagine if it were actually on live server, and not just a discussion topic. It would be a disaster!

ahh just because some dudes from yt or whatever are going to say something devs and other companies are not going to do anything because of some youtube guys, i don't care who they are, they are not gods, the logic behind this is absurd. the devs either have balls to do this or not, we live in times where everybody is going mad about anything, virtual characters knees in video game let's go mad, someone said something lets go mad, to hell with censorship,
censorship always has the opposite result, people are going to investigate, asking questions, why even censor this in the first place?

Most of the Shai outfits look like crap because of the pajamas. I wouldn't buy an outfit for my shai, i would just use the Kama questline skin or something. This means: no money for PA
Who knows, maybe there are more player that think the same.
